The Ace Rooster is the rarest chicken in the Trick Egg pool in Grow a Chicken Fighter, sitting at the Secret tier with a hatch chance below 1%. Because it only comes from Trick Eggs, and Trick Eggs are themselves hard to produce, the fastest path is a chain of specific chickens that each raise your Trick Egg output. Set that chain up correctly and the grind shifts from luck to volume.
Quick answer: Hatch a Catalyst Hen from the Colossus Egg (under 1% chance), deploy it to lay your first Trick Egg (2% per lay, one egg every 10 minutes). Keep any chicken that hatches from that Trick Egg and use it instead of the Catalyst Hen, since Trick Egg chickens lay Trick Eggs far more often. Keep hatching Trick Eggs until the Ace Rooster appears.

Every chicken in the Trick Egg pool
The Trick Egg was added in Update #3 and can hatch five different chickens across the rarity tiers. The Ace Rooster is the Secret-tier result and the one you are grinding for. Everything below it is worth keeping, because even the lowest-tier chicken here helps you farm more Trick Eggs.
| Chicken | Rarity |
|---|---|
| Domino Chick | Rare |
| Checkmate Hen | Epic |
| Puzzle Hen | Legendary |
| High Roller Rooster | Cosmic |
| Ace Rooster | Secret (<1%) |

Add to Google Preferences →Get your first Trick Egg with the Catalyst Hen
You cannot hatch a Trick Egg directly. The only starting point is the Catalyst Hen, a Secret chicken that hatches from the Colossus Egg with a chance below 1%. Because that rate is so low, expect to open a large number of Colossus Eggs before one produces the Catalyst Hen.

Build the Trick Egg farming loop
The Catalyst Hen is only there to get your first Trick Egg. Chickens hatched from Trick Eggs lay Trick Eggs at a much higher rate, so once you have one, swap it in and retire the Catalyst Hen from this job. Even the lowest result, the Rare Domino Chick, has a 10% chance to lay a Trick Egg, five times the Catalyst Hen’s 2%.

| Chicken deployed | Chance to lay a Trick Egg |
|---|---|
| Catalyst Hen | 2% |
| Domino Chick (Rare) | 10% |
Every Trick Egg you hatch has a chance to produce a higher-tier chicken, and each new Trick Egg chicken keeps feeding the loop. The output snowballs, so your Trick Egg supply climbs steadily until the Ace Rooster finally hatches.
The full route to the Ace Rooster
Put together, the path is a short dependency chain. Each stage exists to unlock the next, and only the last stage is pure repetition.
- Farm Colossus Eggs until the Catalyst Hen hatches (under 1% per Colossus Egg).
- Deploy the Catalyst Hen to lay Trick Eggs (2% per 10-minute lay).
- Hatch your first Trick Egg and keep the chicken it gives you.
- Swap that Trick Egg chicken in to produce Trick Eggs faster.
- Repeat Trick Egg hatches until the Secret Ace Rooster appears.

Tip: Chickens keep laying eggs while you are offline, so leaving a Trick Egg chicken deployed means your Trick Egg count grows between sessions. Check the flock when you return and hatch anything new before deploying again.
You will know the grind is over when a Trick Egg hatch reveals the Ace Rooster at the Secret tier in your flock. Until then, keep a Trick Egg chicken active and stockpile every Trick Egg you can produce, since each hatch is another roll at that sub-1% chance.
