Endurance is the stamina bar you drain every time you sprint, climb, wall-run, jump, or perform heavy and charged attacks in Where Winds Meet. A larger bar means longer climbs, more dodges in a fight, and fewer forced pauses while crossing the open world. You raise the cap permanently by collecting regional Oddities and turning them in at the Melodies of Peace exchanger in each area.
Quick answer: Collect Oddities in Qinghe, Kaifeng, and Hexi, then talk to that region’s Melodies of Peace NPC and unlock the “Max Endurance +5” nodes. Each unlocked node adds 5 to your maximum endurance and applies immediately.
Where to find the Melodies of Peace exchangers
Each region has its own Melodies of Peace tree run by a specific NPC. You submit Oddities to that NPC, which unlocks nodes on the tree. Some of those nodes carry a “Max Endurance +5” effect. The endurance node uses a flying-figure icon, so it is easy to spot among the other rewards.
| Region | NPC | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Qinghe | Qi Sheng | Near General’s Shrine, between there and Bamboo Abode |
| Kaifeng | Bai Ji | Kaifeng City |
| Hexi | Qi Xian | Jade Gate Pass |
Kaifeng Imperial Palace and Hidden Mountain (Suixiang) also have Melodies of Peace content, but neither includes an endurance upgrade. You can skip those two if endurance is your only goal.

Endurance nodes by region
These are the tree nodes that carry a Max Endurance +5 effect. Each one adds 5 to your cap.
| Region | Node | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Qinghe | Melody of Peace I | Max Endurance +5 |
| Qinghe | Melody of Grace I | Max Endurance +5 |
| Kaifeng | Melody of Virtue I | Max Endurance +5 |
| Hexi | Melody of Harmony I | Max Endurance +5 |
| Hexi | Melody of Harmony II | Max Endurance +5 |

The region restriction you cannot skip
Each Melodies of Peace tree only accepts Oddities that were collected inside its own region. Oddities you found in Kaifeng cannot be spent on the Qinghe tree, and vice versa. If a node will not unlock, the most common reason is that you are short on that region’s specific Oddities, not Oddities in general.
To gather more, use the world map’s area switcher to travel to the region whose tree you want to fill, then explore that area for its Oddities.

How to find Oddities in the open world
Oddities are scattered across each region and appear on your mini-map when you get close. Watch for a wing-shaped or dragonfly-style icon. That marker points to the exact spot where an Oddity is waiting.
Collection differs by type. Some Oddities need a specific action rather than a simple pickup. For an Enchanting Lotus, for example, you press and hold V, follow the blue trail to locate two groups of flying butterflies, then shoot them with your bow to complete the catch. Others, such as the Ironwing Mantis, Redmist Beetle, Dagger General, or Whisper Hive, use their own methods, so approach each marker and follow the on-screen prompt.

How to confirm the upgrade worked
When you unlock an endurance node, the node shows as activated on the tree and your maximum endurance rises by 5 immediately. The game also gives a short in-world cue when your Qi surges and your endurance limit increases, so you know the upgrade took effect the moment you spend the Oddities.
If nothing happens when you try to unlock a node, check that you have enough of that region’s Oddities and that you are on the correct region’s tree. Those two conditions are the only things standing between you and a larger endurance bar.
