The Shark Cutter is a Slash sword you collect in Chapter 6 of Beast of Reincarnation, sitting on the ground right next to the Bridge Control Room: Approach campsite in the Fuji Frontier Zone. It carries the Spiral Critical ability, which raises the critical hit chance for Emma and Koo when they attack. You reach the exact spot during the main story, so it is very hard to miss if you know what to look for.

You pick up the Shark Cutter naturally while chasing Shidou’s malefact through the Fuji Frontier Zone. Most of the area involves parkour across pipes and scaffolding using Emma’s hair, and the sword is waiting near the end of that route, just before a boss encounter. The campsite next to it is the same one that holds the control panel for lowering the nearby bridge.
Note: Swords do not appear as markers on the map when you are close, and the Shark Cutter is small in the environment, so it can be easy to walk past. Head straight for the painted wall next to the control panel shack. You will know it worked when the Shark Cutter appears in your sword list in the equipment menu.
Shark Cutter stats and Spiral Critical ability
The Shark Cutter has no elemental effect. Its whole value comes from the critical hit boost, which stacks well with skills that already raise your critical chance. Like every sword in the game, it starts with a base Melee Attack of 27.

Tip: The critical boost pairs strongly with Emma’s Critical Chance skill and Koo’s Full Bloom Crit mod, which treats all hits as critical while Koo’s FP bar is full. That combination is why the Shark Cutter stays useful well into the late game despite having no elemental damage.
Nothing about the Shark Cutter is missable. If you skip past it during the story, you can still return in free-roam before starting New Game+ to grab it. Recollecting it in New Game+ awards Amber instead of a second copy, and the pickup counts toward the Blade Collector goal for gathering every sword in the game.
