The Military Cap is the Vanguard Familiar tied to Isdead (Romantic), the ice Secret unit modelled on Esdeath from Akame ga Kill!. It arrived alongside the Isdead Rerun in Update 14.5, and unlike most familiars in the game it cannot be rolled, bought, or traded onto another unit. There is one route to it, and it ends on a single floor.
Quick answer: Clear Floor 25 of the Isdead Rerun in Worldlines. The Military Cap drops as the clear reward, and it can only be equipped to Isdead (Romantic).
What the Military Cap changes on Isdead (Romantic)
The headline number is the 8000% damage bump, but the bigger shift is structural. The familiar hands Isdead two abilities she does not normally have and front-loads the ones she does, so upgrade 7 is no longer the gate on her kit.
| Passive | Effect |
|---|---|
| Natural Talent | Increases damage by 8000%. |
| Backed Into a Corner | Grants Mahokarada and The Perfect Vessel on placement; adds the actives Ice Cavalry and Ice Commander; gains a Cavalry stack on every takedown; while Ice Cavalry is on, raises an ice soldier every 3 seconds for 30% of her damage. |
| Leader of Ice | Marks all Passion units with Affection on placement, then Blooming Love marks a unit as normal; cuts Mahokarada’s cooldown to 60 seconds; buffs herself and all Water units by 60%. |
Those actives matter because of how her freeze stacks. Mahokarada freezes time for 10 seconds and makes frozen enemies take 50% more damage from Passion and Water units, rising to 100% more from allies carrying the Affection mark. Ice Commander then consumes every living ice soldier at once, dealing 20% of Isdead’s damage to every enemy on the map per soldier. It fires once per match, so it is a scheduled nuke rather than a rotation piece.
Note: Vanguard Familiars cannot be corrupted or rerolled, and each one is locked to a single unit. There is no reason to save the Military Cap for anything else.

The familiar is useless without its unit, and Isdead (Romantic) is not a summon. The base Isdead evolves into her, and the evolution has its own wall.
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Demon Chalice | 1 |
| Gold | 10,000 |
| Takedowns | 1,000 on Isdead |
| Unit source | Frozen Domain portal, unlocked by finishing Worldlines Season 2 Floor 50 |
Once evolved, she costs 103,000 ¥ to fully deploy and upgrade, with a placement limit of 3. Her damage caps at 5,800 with 40 range at upgrade 11, which is why the familiar’s multiplier does so much heavy lifting.
Tip: If you spawn into the hub and your stats, currency, or inventory never populate, rejoin the server before starting a run. Entering a Worldline with a half-loaded profile is the fastest way to waste a floor attempt.

How to get the Military Cap: clear Floor 25 of the Isdead Rerun
Normal difficulty is enough. There is no separate higher-difficulty version of the drop to chase, and the familiar’s stats are fixed rather than rolled, so a clean clear on Normal gives you exactly the same 8000% Natural Talent as anything else.
Confirm the familiar is equipped and working
After the clear, the Military Cap sits in your familiar inventory with its three passives listed. Equip it from Isdead (Romantic)’s familiar slot; the game will not let you attach it to anything else, so if the slot rejects it you have the wrong unit selected.
You can check any equipped familiar’s passives mid-match from a placed unit’s upgrade panel using the Passives button, which lists what is currently active on that unit.

The cleanest test is a Sandbox run. Pick Sandbox from stage select, place Isdead, and watch for three things at the moment of placement: Mahokarada and The Perfect Vessel appearing immediately, the Ice Cavalry and Ice Commander buttons showing on her panel, and every Passion unit on the field picking up the Affection mark. If all three land, the familiar is applied.

Sandbox also lets you spawn a high-HP boss on demand, which is the only practical way to see Ice Cavalry stack soldiers and then measure what Ice Commander actually detonates for. Since Ice Commander is once per match and consumes every soldier, holding the toggle on for a while before firing it is the difference between a chip hit and a wipe.
Update 14.5 Vanguard Familiars and where each one comes from
The Military Cap shipped as part of a batch, and it helps to know which of these are Worldline drops and which are not — several players go looking for it in a shop or a unit trial and come up empty.
| Familiar | Unit | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Military Cap | Isdead (Romantic) | Isdead Rerun, Floor 25 |
| Turtle Symbol | Roku (Super 3) | Roku Unit Trial |
| Candy Ball | Boo (Evil) | Boo Unit Trial |
| Sealed Spell Scroll | Goblin Killer (Trapper) | Lunar Bridge Dungeon Shop, 1,000 Controller Tokens |
| Bounty Hunter’s Handcuff | Brisket (Yo-Yo) | Bounties |
| Petrified Soul | Yehowach (Almighty) | Rift Shop |
| Rose Bundle | Lfelt (Love) | Dungeon Shop |
The two unit trials are a different kind of difficulty entirely. The Boo Trial on Land of the Gods throws fast waves with enemy overshields, and the Roku trial on Frozen Port stacks Honest and Solidified modifiers that let enemies sprint the track almost instantly.

Stall tools only buy time in those trials rather than solve them. Apathetic Savior (Door) and its Final Stand Against Death active grant 60 seconds of invincibility, but when the timer runs out the base falls in seconds if the run has not built real damage behind it.

Compared to those trials, the Military Cap is one of the more forgiving Vanguard Familiars to secure. There is no RNG on the drop and no roll on the stats — the whole cost is getting a lineup that can push a Worldline run to Floor 25 and finish it. If you already own Isdead (Romantic), that is a single clear standing between her and an 8000% damage multiplier plus a full second kit.
