Where Winds Meet 2.1: How to Get Drunken Fist, Riven Twinblades, and Every New Inner Way

Exact locations, quest prerequisites, and chest spots for the Skystrike Gauntlets, Riven Twinblades, and four new Inner Ways.

Exact locations, quest prerequisites, and chest spots for the Skystrike Gauntlets, Riven Twinblades, and four new Inner Ways.

The Drunken Fist path arrives in Where Winds Meet as a two-weapon school built around a drinking meter, and both halves of it are free pickups in the open world rather than gacha rewards. The gauntlets come from a duel in Hidden Mountain-Shenze. The twin blades come from an NPC in Qinghe. Four Inner Ways ride along with them, one gold and three purple, each tied to a quest you must finish first.

Quick answer: Beat Jiu Qiansui at Millennium Crossing in Hidden Mountain-Shenze and pick “Listen to the Story” for the Skystrike Gauntlets and the gold Inner Way Eonpour. Then finish the Qinghe Jianghu Legacy Quest “Echoes of Old Battle” and speak to Li Yangui at Verdant Wilds for the Riven Twinblades and the purple Inner Way Skyspeak.

Everything the Drunken Fist path unlocks, and what gates it

Two weapons and four Inner Ways make up the full set. Three of the six pickups sit behind a quest, so check this before you start teleporting around the map.

How to get the Skystrike Gauntlets and the Eonpour Inner Way

This is the only pickup in the set with no quest attached. All you need to do is win a fight.

Open the map and travel to Hidden Mountain-Shenze, then head for the Millennium Crossing area. The nearby Gasping Cliff teleport point drops you close enough to run the rest on foot.
Follow the riverbank until you find Jiu Qiansui, an old man sitting with a group of children near a campfire. He is the martial artist who teaches the fist path.
Talk to him and select the “Challenge” option, then beat him in the duel. The fight moves into the shallow water, so keep your footing and treat his stumbling animations as attack windups rather than openings.
Speak to Jiu Qiansui again after the duel and choose “Listen to the Story”. Sitting through his story is what actually hands over the Skystrike Gauntlets and the gold Inner Way Eonpour, so do not walk away once the fight ends.

Eonpour is the gold Inner Way of the set and boosts Martial Arts Attack damage. It is listed under the Bamboocut – Draught path alongside the gauntlets themselves.

How to get the Riven Twinblades and the Skyspeak Inner Way

The twin blades are handed to you in conversation, but only after the right Qinghe quest is cleared.

Complete the Qinghe Jianghu Legacy Quest “Echoes of Old Battle”. Without it finished, Li Yangui has nothing to give you and the dialogue option will not appear.
Travel to Verdant Wilds in Qinghe and make your way toward the Bamboo Abode area. Li Yangui waits at an outpost in the open grassland there.

Speak to Li Yangui and take the “Revisit” dialogue. He gives you the Riven Twinblades and the purple Inner Way Skyspeak in one go, with no fight required.

Volutefit Inner Way location in Qinghe Sundara Land

Volutefit is a chest pickup, not a reward handed over in dialogue. The chest only appears once the quest is done.

Complete the Qinghe quest “The Promised Light”, which ends with the Tian Ying boss fight. Clear that fight before you go looking for the chest.
Teleport to the Scripture Hall point in Qinghe Sundara Land and walk into the temple building itself. The chest sits inside, not in the courtyard.

Open the glowing chest to add Volutefit to your Inner Ways. It carries a damage reduction buff tied to Mystic Skills, which you can confirm on its details screen right after looting it.

Mistwing Inner Way location in Qinghe Moonveil Mountain

Mistwing is the trickiest of the four to reach, because the chest is not at the teleport point. You have to glide down to it.

Finish the Qinghe campaign quest “Palace of Annals”. The area stays inaccessible for this pickup until that quest is behind you.
Teleport to the Palace of Annals point in Qinghe Moonveil Mountain. From the landing spot, glide down toward Hero’s Tomb below.
Enter the building at Hero’s Tomb and open the chest inside for Mistwing. The Inner Way pairs a damage boost with an attack buff.

How to confirm each unlock worked

Every one of these pickups shows up immediately in your menus. Open the Martial Arts pane and look for the Skystrike Gauntlets and Riven Twinblades under the Bamboocut – Draught path. Then open the Inner Ways list and check for Eonpour, Skyspeak, Volutefit, and Mistwing, each with its own breakthrough tiers and upgrade tree once acquired.

If something is missing, the cause is almost always one of two things. Either the required quest was not actually completed, or you left the NPC before taking the final dialogue option. Jiu Qiansui in particular does not hand over anything for winning the duel alone — the “Listen to the Story” conversation is the trigger.

Why the gauntlets and twin blades belong on the same bar

The two weapons share a single drunken resource, so equipping only one of them cuts the school in half. The fist side is the builder. Holding heavy attack makes your character drink, which fills the gauge at the cost of stamina, and a well-timed quick drink after a skill lands the Falcon Strike bonus. The blade side is the spender, with a hold-slash that speeds up sharply and a special that fans out a wave of mid-air strikes once you are at the peak drunken state.

Note: The dual blades special dash also feeds the meter when it connects with the first target, which makes it a natural opener before you commit to the long hold-slash.

Since you only have four Inner Way slots, the three purple pickups plus Eonpour slot in neatly as a starting set for the path. Once all four are in your inventory, the remaining work is feeding them breakthrough materials and pushing the upgrade tiers, which is the same grind as any other Inner Way in the game.
