Lacra is one of the vrakhiri Coen meets in Svartrau City, and her romance sits at the end of a long, combative story arc. She has no love for the vampire lords of Vale Sangora, and her relationship with Coen stays prickly until the very last quest. The payoff is a scene during Night of Horrors, but it only happens if you clear her earlier missions and pick a small set of exact responses.
Quick answer: Finish Lacra’s quest chain, then during Night of Horrors eat the mandrake, choose Follow Lacra, answer “Who says I’m not?”, select Drink when she offers her blood, and then Kiss Her to trigger the scene.

Before you start Lacra’s quests
You will run into Lacra fairly early once you head into Svartrau City. Because she is a vampire, her missions can only be started at nighttime, so plan your day segments around that. Unlike Anca, Lacra cannot die accidentally before you reach her romance, though a few decisions can annoy her and change how scenes play out.
Romancing Lacra does not lock you out of anyone else. Coen can still pursue other characters, and none of Night of Horrors’ rewards depend on the romance itself.

Add to Google Preferences →Lacra’s quest chain, in order
The arc runs through five quests. Work through them in sequence, keeping your tone calm and conciliatory whenever Lacra gets hostile.
| Quest | What it involves |
|---|---|
| A Friend Like This | Investigate blood spatter and broken roof tiles in the northern part of the city, reach the house where Lacra is interrogating an uriashi prisoner, and defeat her in combat. Afterward, spare the uriashi and keep your promises when prompted. |
| Song of the Mountain | Meet Lacra in Crown Rock at night, feed on the shepherd when told, then climb toward the uriashi matriarch. Keep replies calm and do nothing until the uriashi stand down to defuse the confrontation. |
| Hive and Seek | Head underground and fight through kobolds. There is no romance dialogue here; it ends with Coen and Lacra retrieving the carcass of Isbrand, the older vampire who sired Brencis. |
| Our Rotten Roots | Travel to Anachora to witness Isbrand’s memories. At the fork, it is best to let Lacra’s private memory go rather than push toward the pit, since she reveals it herself later. If you insist on going, apologize afterward to smooth things over. |
| Night of Horrors | The final quest, where the romance takes place. Follow the will-o’-the-wisps to the ancient vrakhiri’s lair, then make the cave choices below. |
Note: Give Lacra a day after finishing Isbrand’s memories before returning to begin Night of Horrors.

Don’t fail Night of Horrors
Night of Horrors becomes available at the same time as Midnight Reckoning. Do not start Midnight Reckoning yet, as that leads to the finale against Brencis and a point of no return.
Right after the opening cutscene in the swamps, you may spot hostile soldiers on patrol. Fighting them is a boyar activity that advances time, and if it becomes almost morning the quest fails automatically. If you see a group of soldiers, run past them and do not kill anyone. As you follow the wisps, Coen and Lacra open up about grief, anger, and regret; pick the supportive, conciliatory replies each time.
Exact choices in the cave
Once you reach the recesses of the cavern with the consumed ancient vrakhir, a long cutscene begins and Lacra points out a mandrake plant on the ground. From here the choices matter.

You will know it worked when the kiss leads directly into the scene. When it ends, Coen wakes alone on the cavern floor. Lacra later makes clear the encounter was for the moment rather than a promise of the future.
Rewards from Night of Horrors
The quest hands out its rewards whether or not you romance Lacra. The romance itself only adds the scene.
| Reward | Details |
|---|---|
| Mesmerise ability | A vampire skill. If you skip the romance, you instead receive a vial of Lacra’s blood that can be consumed to unlock it. |
| Mandrake Ward perk | Granted for eating the mandrake. It lets Coen avoid death once per night after lethal damage, restoring three health segments. Most useful on higher difficulty. |
| Misery Loves Company | A trophy earned for completing the quest. |
If you complete her arc, Lacra can also stand with Coen in the final battle against Brencis, giving the relationship a lasting place in the story even though the romance itself is a one-time encounter.
