Wuthering Waves 3.7: How Hsin and Suoming’s Kits Work Together

Kuro Games has put out a combat preview of Hsin and Suoming, the two Electro Resonators arriving in Version 3.7 of Wuthering Waves. Rather than the usual solo animation showcase, the footage runs both characters through a single team rotation, and that choice reveals more about how they function than any drip-marketing post has so far.

Quick answer: Suoming opens to charge her Concerto Gauge, swaps to Hsin for her first Liberation, then Hsin’s golden field keeps hitting enemies off-field while Suoming attacks again — before a second swap back to Hsin for her second, larger Liberation.

Hsin and Suoming: Element, weapon, and confirmed roles

Both are 5-star Electro units, and both were revealed through official drip marketing at the end of August. Hsin is the Sentinel of Mengzhou, the region added in Version 3.5, and she is the first Sentinel to become playable. Suoming founded the Ten Seals Covenant and serves as Intendant of the Ministry of Sentinel Affairs under Hsin — she also appeared at the close of the 3.6 main story, stepping out behind Yinlin after the Takgyun Hall gang was put down.

Note: earlier leaks listed Suoming as a Havoc Rectifier built around Echo Skill support. That has since been corrected to Electro Sword, and the Echo-nanny framing no longer holds.

The swap loop shown in the gameplay preview

The preview transitions straight from the two 3D models into team combat, so the sequence itself is the clearest read on how the pair are meant to be played.

Suoming starts on the field, stringing together attacks with her umbrella sword and chains. Her basic attack chain plus her Liberation is enough to fill her Forte bar, which is why she generates her Outro so quickly.

Swap to Hsin. Suoming’s Outro chains directly into Hsin’s first Intro, keeping the pressure up without a pause in the offense.
Hsin builds her Resonance Gauge with Basic Attacks and Resonance Skills, then casts her first Resonance Liberation. She lights up gold and drops a field that periodically calls swords down onto enemies.

Swap back to Suoming. The golden field stays active after Hsin leaves, so those sword strikes keep landing while Suoming runs her own combo.

Swap to Hsin one more time using her second Intro. That second Intro puts her into her enhanced form and opens up her second Liberation, which she follows with a run of area-of-effect attacks and a longer, more elaborate finishing animation.

The clip ends with the Tacet Discords wiped out. Former PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida shared the footage on X with Kuro Games’ permission, which is how many players saw it first.

Why Hsin’s two Intros and two Liberations matter

Most Resonators have one Intro and one Liberation. Hsin has two of each, and they are not interchangeable — the second Intro is the gate. Using it flips her into her enhanced form and unlocks the second Liberation, so the order you press things in determines whether you get her bigger damage window at all.

AbilityWhat it does
First IntroStandard swap-in, leads into her Basic Attack chain
First LiberationCreates the golden field that triggers off-field coordinated attacks
Second IntroActivates her enhanced form and unlocks the second Liberation
Second LiberationHigh-damage finisher with a longer animation

Because the field persists through a swap, Hsin reads as a sub-DPS more than a permanent on-field carry. Her damage does not stop when she leaves. The leaked framing around her first Liberation points to buffs layered on top of that — increased Coordinated Attack damage, damage amplification, and Electro Flare application — though none of that has official skill text yet.

Electro Flare and Electro Rage: The mechanic underneath both kits

Hsin and Suoming are the last Electro Flare units of the 3.X run. The loop is straightforward on paper. Attacks apply Electro Flare stacks to a target, and once those stacks overflow they detonate as Electro Rage for extra Electro damage. Hsin applies Flare herself and scales on Resonance Skill damage, which is why buffs that specifically boost Skill damage matter more to her than raw attack percentages.

Suoming’s job in that loop is speed. Filling her Forte bar off a single basic string plus her Liberation means her Outro comes back fast, so she can hand buffs to Hsin repeatedly inside one rotation instead of once per fight.

Best third slot options for a Hsin and Suoming team

The pair occupy two slots comfortably. The third is where the team’s identity gets decided.

Third slotWhat it brings
Electro RoverFast Electro Flare application, attack buffs, Resonance Skill damage bonuses, damage amplification
SuisuiRaises the max stack limits for Electro Flare and Electro Rage, plus healing and team damage buffs
BulingBudget option with healing; at S6 grants 50% Resonance Skill DMG Bonus to the active Resonator

Suisui’s Ceaseless Landscape is the specific piece worth understanding. Applying Electro Flare to a target inside it raises the maximum Electro Flare and Electro Rage stacks that target can hold by 3 for 15 seconds. More headroom on stacks means more Rage detonations, which is exactly what an Electro Flare core wants.

Buling’s S6 line is blunt in comparison. The Thunder Spell — Heaven, Earth, Mind state grants a 50% Resonance Skill DMG Bonus to whoever is active, which lands directly on Hsin’s scaling. That makes Buling a genuinely strong budget pick rather than a placeholder, assuming you have the Resonance Chain.

Hsin and Suoming with existing Resonators like Jinhsi and Changli

Jinhsi is the obvious beneficiary. Her damage depends on coordinated attacks feeding her Incandescence, and Hsin’s persistent field plus Suoming’s rapid Outro generation supply both coordinated hits and frequent swap-in buffs. Changli sits in similar territory, since fast Intro cycling suits how her rotation is built.

Treat all of that as directional rather than settled. Damage numbers, exact buff values, and how the coordinated attacks are gated are not public yet.

Version 3.7 release timing and what is still unconfirmed

Version 3.6 runs through September 30, 2026. Hsin is expected on the Phase 1 banner and Suoming on Phase 2, following the game’s usual 42-day patch cadence. Kuro Games has not published exact banner dates, so treat any specific day as an estimate until the Version 3.7 preview broadcast confirms it.

Everything in the footage comes from a test build, which is also why it runs with English voice acting while other dubs are still being recorded. Skill text, multipliers, cooldowns, Echo sets, and final team roles can all shift before launch. If you are planning a pull order, the sensible move is to wait for beta skill text — kits this layered tend to get trimmed on the way to release.

What the preview does settle is the shape of the pair. Two Liberations, a field that keeps working after Hsin leaves the screen, and a support whose Outro comes back fast enough to use twice in a rotation. That is a quick-swap team, and it will reward players who learn the button order rather than those who just stand and hold attack.
