Ambrus’s Transports are the two Blood Transport Court Activities tied to the vampire boyar Ambrus, and they are among the earliest things you can hit once the Prologue ends. Both are short combat encounters rather than sprawling quests, and both push Ambrus’s Anger meter closer to the point where his boss quest unlocks.
Quick answer: Clear Ambrus’s Transports: Bloody Business near South Rock by killing the escort and looting the leader Uriash for his note, then clear Ambrus’s Transports: Roadside Surprise at Brior Slough by killing the guards and interacting with the highlighted barrels. Each costs 3 time segments.
Ambrus’s Transports quest list and locations
There are only two entries under the Blood Transports category, and they sit at opposite ends of the difficulty curve for a Level 1+ Ambrus region — which is to say, neither is hard. What separates them is the completion trigger. One ends on a loot pickup, the other ends on a world interaction.
| Activity | Location | Completion trigger | Time cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ambrus’s Transports: Bloody Business | Near South Rock | Defeat the escort, then loot the leader’s body for the note | 3 time segments |
| Ambrus’s Transports: Roadside Surprise | Brior Slough | Defeat the guards, then interact with the barrels to destroy them | 3 time segments |
Neither activity is pinned on your map from the start. Court Activities show up as “Unknown Activity” until you physically discover them in the world, so the fastest way to surface both is to synchronize the region’s Towers early. Nearby activities then appear as white question marks you can track from the map screen.

The note itself is a reprimand from Bardil aimed at the escort. Reading it is not required, but picking it up is — the quest state only advances once the leader’s inventory has been taken.

How to confirm both activities registered
Completion is easy to verify without guesswork. The tracked objective clears from your journal, the map marker disappears, and the in-game clock advances by 3 time segments for each activity. Open the Court menu afterwards and check Ambrus’s portrait — his Anger level should have ticked up.
If an activity is still sitting open, there are only two realistic causes. For Bloody Business, you cleared the escort but never looted Uriash’s body for the note. For Roadside Surprise, you killed the guards but never interacted with the highlighted barrels, which is the actual completion trigger — walking past them and leaving the camp does nothing.
Where the Transports fit in Ambrus’s Court Activities
Ambrus has 14 Court Activities in total, spread across Blood Transports, the Prisoner Processing Camp, Leech Collectors, Prisoner Transports, Blood Cellars, and Ambrus’s Dungeons. You do not need all of them. Clearing roughly 75% of his operations pushes his Anger high enough to unlock The Gilded Gauntlet, his main quest, in southern Maragir.
The two Transports are worth doing early because they are low-level, close together in the campaign’s opening stretch, and reward useful early gear. That said, they cost 3 time segments each. If you are already close to Ambrus’s Anger threshold and want to spend as little of your 30 in-game days as possible, his Blood Cellars activities — Seeing Red, Uninvited, and Trouble Brewing — only cost 1 time segment apiece and are the more efficient way to top up the meter.
Note: Court Activities stay available after you beat the boss they feed into, so nothing here becomes permanently missable once Ambrus goes down. Keeping a manual save before each boss fight still makes sense if you want to come back and mop up side content later.
