The Bandits’s Treasure Map: Laslea Glen activity in The Blood of Dawnwalker is one of the earliest buried stashes you can dig up, and it hides a Master-tier longsword that outclasses most of what you own in the prologue. The catch is that the map is guarded by a bandit camp, and the treasure itself is sitting inside a cave with a Ravenous Bear on top of it.
Quick answer: Take the map from the table inside the bandit house near the Outlaw’s Gorge Shrine in eastern Laslea Glen, then head east through the mountain path into the ravine cave, kill the Level 10 Ravenous Bear, pick up the shovel next to the disturbed earth, and dig.
Laslea Glen treasure map: Activity details
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Region | Laslea Glen / Outlaw’s Gorge |
| How it starts | Pick up Treasure Map: Laslea Glen inside the bandit house |
| Guard | Ravenous Bear (Level 10) |
| Time cost | 1 Time Segment to clear the camp, 1 more to dig |
| Available during | Day |
| Missable | Yes |
| Completion XP | 100 XP |
Because it eats two Time Segments in total, plenty of players save it for the Smoke and Ashes stretch of the prologue rather than burning early clock on it. The activity is flagged as missable, so if you skip Laslea Glen entirely you lose access to the stash and the outcome logs as never having found it.

Laslea Glen treasure location: The ravine cave east of the camp
The red X on the drawing is deliberately loose, so lining it up pixel-perfect with the world map will not get you there. The dig site is a short walk east of the bandit house, in the easternmost corner of Laslea Glen.

How to beat the Ravenous Bear guarding the treasure
The Ravenous Bear is Level 10 and hits far harder than the bandits you just cleared. Two of its moves cannot be blocked normally, so the fight is built around sidesteps rather than guarding.

| Bear attack | How to answer it |
|---|---|
| Forward charge (knocks you down) | Dodge to the side, never backwards |
| Rear-up ground slam in front of it | Dodge sideways as it stands on its hind legs |
| Recovery after either move | Perfect dodge into a counterattack, or swing from behind |
Both unblockable attacks travel straight ahead, which is why lateral dodges beat backpedalling every time. Land a perfect dodge and you get a counterattack window; otherwise circle behind it and get a couple of hits in before it turns.

Digging up the treasure and confirming the activity ended

You know it worked when the loot window pops with the chest contents and a QUEST ENDED banner appears alongside the XP payout. The journal entry then updates to the outcome that says you found the bandits’ stash and took what was hidden there. If it instead reads that you never found the stash, the dig was never completed.
Laslea Glen treasure rewards
| Reward | Notes |
|---|---|
| Polished Long Cleaver | Master longsword, 132 DPS, 80-115 damage |
| 100 Denarius | Spends at any merchant, armourer, innkeeper, or blacksmith |
| Recipe for Minor Fortitude Paste | Crafting recipe |
| Valuable trinket | A sellable piece such as a Golden Mug |
| 100 XP | Paid on completion |
The Polished Long Cleaver is the real prize. Equipping it gives Coen access to a bonus Weapon Art attack that recharges between uses and does significantly more damage than a standard swing, which makes the two Time Segments easier to justify this early. The trinket in the chest is pure vendor fodder, so sell it at the first merchant you pass and put the Denarius toward armour or potions.
