San Diego Border Roleplay: Best Methods to Get Money Fast

Cash in San Diego Border Roleplay comes from a small set of repeatable loops, and most of them hinge on one item: the money printer. Everything else in the economy either feeds that loop, protects it, or takes it away from someone else. The three earners worth your time are AFK printer farming, the beach house cabbage farm, and police confiscation raids on other players’ printers.

Quick answer: Buy money printers from the tunnel dealer for around $20,000 each, cross the border legally through the checkpoint, rent an upper-floor apartment, place the printers inside, and stay in the server with an auto-clicker running. Each printer pays roughly $130 to $140 per second.

Money method payouts and costs compared

The right method depends on how much starting cash you have and whether you want to sit at the keyboard. Printers pay the most per hour but need the biggest upfront spend and carry raid risk. The cabbage farm is the largest single payout in the game, but the property alone costs seven figures.

How to set up AFK money printers

Printers are sold by an NPC dealer hidden inside a tunnel that branches off the road just before the border checkpoint. Access to the tunnel costs $500. Standard printers run about $20,000; a super printer costs more and generates cash faster.

Switch to the Civilian team and drive toward the border. Take the right turn before the main crossing and pay the $500 Access Tunnel fee to get in.

Follow the tunnel to the room marked DEALER and buy your printers. Buy as many as your cash allows, since each one earns independently once placed.

Cross the border legally through the San Ysidro Port of Entry rather than exiting the far end of the tunnel. Walking out of the tunnel counts as illegal entry and flags your record, which is exactly what police need to break into your apartment later.

Carrying printers through the checkpoint is its own problem. If Border Patrol sends you to Secondary Inspection with printers on you, there is roughly a 90% chance the scanner catches them, and detection means about 30 seconds in jail plus a criminal record.

Rent an apartment on the US side. Apartment 201 works, but a unit on a high floor toward the back of the building is safer, because running printers make an audible hum that patrolling officers listen for in the hallways.
Place every printer in the room and leave an auto-clicker running so the AFK timer never kicks you. You will know the setup is working when the printers are humming and your cash total climbs on its own while you stand still.

Tip: Server choice matters more than printer count. A quiet server with no active police officers, sometimes called a grinding server, lets printers run for a long stretch without anyone knocking on the door.

Beach house cabbage farm: costs, heat, and delivery bonus

The beach house is the single biggest earner once it is running, but it is an endgame purchase. The property costs $1,000,000, the basement garden unlocks for another $250,000, and construction takes 24 real hours after you buy it. You do not need to stay online while it builds.

Once built, the farm runs off a laptop in the basement. Everything you need to buy, plant, and sell is handled there.

Interact with the basement laptop and buy cabbage seeds. Seed batches scale with what you can afford, with typical purchases landing around $4,000.
Plant the seeds and wait roughly one hour for them to mature. This is the natural window to go AFK in your apartment with printers running, so both income streams tick at once.
Return to the laptop and choose Sell Cabbages. A delivery truck spawns outside for you to drive.
Drive the truck to Legal Storage Solutions to complete the shipment. The sale only registers when the truck reaches the drop-off, so a wrecked or abandoned truck means no payout.

Confirmation is a cash message on completion, worded like “Garden delivery complete. You earned $21,949 + $8,047 full lobby bonus.” That bonus is the reason server population matters. A busy lobby adds a substantial premium, with a roughly 30-player server reported to add around $57,000 on a base delivery near $192,000.

Keeping farm heat below 50%

Every sale raises the farm’s heat level, shown on the basement laptop alongside supplies and water. At 50% or higher, police can raid the basement and seize your product. Heat decays on its own over time, so spacing deliveries out is the only reliable way to keep the farm safe.

Police printer confiscation raids

If you have no starting capital, the police route costs nothing and pays around $10,000 per printer seized. The whole method is finding an apartment full of AFK printers and getting inside legally before the owner comes back.

Switch to the Police team and gear up at the San Diego Police Department, then spawn a cruiser and drive to the apartment complex.
Turn your game volume up and walk the hallways. Active printers hum loudly enough to hear through doors, which saves you from checking every unit. Check the upper floors, since that is where most players hide setups.
Get the occupant’s exact username from the player list, then look them up in the Police Database on your tablet to see whether a warrant already exists.
If there is no warrant, run an immigration check on that name. A player who entered the country illegally gets flagged, which gives you legal grounds for a search warrant.
With an active warrant, use Force Entry on the door and confiscate every printer inside immediately. Delay is the main way this fails, because the owner can return, pick the printers up, or leave the server with them.

Note: Forcing entry without a valid warrant breaks the game’s roleplay rules and can lead to moderation trouble. Run the database check first, every time.

Faster fills: smuggling, kills, and server hopping

Smuggling is how most players raise their first $20,000. You buy goods at the Black Market near spawn, summon a car from the tablets by the parking lot, and drive to the checkpoint, where the item’s detection rate decides whether the scan catches you. Getting caught costs the goods and the money you spent on them.

ContrabandPriceDetection rate
Crate of Avocado$15010%
Wagyu Beef$35020%
Fake Designer Sneakers$70035%
Fake Diamond Ring$1,00045%
Witches Brew$50060%

Fake Diamond Rings are the standard high-value run, selling for up to around $11,000 at the Garage Smuggler on the parking garage roof. Low-detection items like Wagyu Beef are the safer early grind. Using the tunnels instead of the checkpoint skips the scan entirely, at the cost of an illegal entry flag on your record.

Killing AFK police officers or border patrol agents at their spawns pays $5,000 per kill. A melee weapon is quieter than a gun and will not draw active officers nearby.

Whatever method you run, press Tab and read the room before committing. Printer farmers want empty servers with no police online, while cabbage deliveries and police raids both want full lobbies. Hopping between the two is what turns a decent hourly rate into a good one.
