Matter of Honour is one of three Rebel Hunter jobs in Bakir’s Court, and it is the most straightforward of the bunch. There is no puzzle, no stealth route, and no way to talk your way out of it. You walk up to a group of Bakir’s men standing outside a house, and you kill all of them.
Quick answer: Travel northwest of Svartrau Northern Crossroads, north of Ersol, approach the house to trigger the cutscene, pick [give in to the hunger], then defeat all three Rebel Hunters to close the quest.
Where to find Bakir’s headhunters
The encounter sits northwest of the Svartrau Northern Crossroads, in the stretch of countryside north of Ersol. Court Activities are not pinned on your map from the start, so the marker only appears once you have discovered the spot in the world. Once it is logged, the objective reads Defeat Bakir’s headhunters • 3 and you can track it from the map screen.

Head northwest on foot from the crossroads. The path runs past a wooden structure, and pushing beyond it puts you in range of the group waiting in front of the house. Nothing needs to be looted or investigated first.
Note: Bakir’s Court Activities are tuned for level 20 and up, so this is not something to attempt straight out of the Prologue.

Defeating the three Rebel Hunters
The fight is a straight three-on-one against the Rebel Hunter Captain and his two men in the open ground outside the house. Enemies you have locked onto are outlined, and their health bars sit above them, so it is easy to track which one you have worn down.

Work through them one at a time rather than trading hits with the whole group. There are no environmental objects to destroy and no secondary objective hidden in the yard, which keeps the whole thing short.

How to confirm the quest is done
The third kill ends it. A QUEST ENDED banner appears, the objective counter clears, and a Time Has Passed notification confirms the clock has moved. The activity burns three time segments out of your 30 in-game days, which is standard for this tier of Court work.

If the quest does not close, one of the three is still alive somewhere in the yard. The counter next to the objective tells you exactly how many remain.
Matter of Honour rewards and loot
Completion pays out experience and a skill point. Everything else comes off the bodies, so sweep the yard before you leave.

Why Matter of Honour matters for Bakir’s Anger meter
Every Court Activity you complete in Bakir’s region pushes his Anger meter up in the Court menu. Once it maxes out, his main storyline opens and Farkas approaches Coen with a plan involving the Lunar Game at Lunar Manor. Matter of Honour is one of the twelve activities tied to him, alongside the other two Rebel Hunter jobs, the payoff transports, the distilleries, and the pillories.
You do not need to clear every one of them. Roughly three quarters of a vampire’s activities is enough to trigger the boss quest, and the remaining ones stay available afterwards if you want to come back for the loot. Since each of these costs time from a fixed 30-day countdown, it is worth keeping a manual save before you commit to a run of them.
Matter of Honour is a clean three time segments for a skill point and a crafting recipe, which makes it one of the cheaper ways to move Bakir’s meter. Clear it early in the region, then chain it with the nearby transports and distilleries before doubling back for the hidden work like Silent to the Grave.
