The Kingslayer Location in The Blood of Dawnwalker

The Kingslayer is a level 21 Legendary Greatsword in The Blood of Dawnwalker, built for patient, defensive play. It carries a wider perfect block window and cheaper stamina costs on both blocking and attacking, and its flavor text reads “Brings justice where it’s needed.” It weighs 2.30 and holds a value of 594, the highest among the early Legendary swords.

Quick answer: Clear the soldier outpost during the Forge it Anew: Executive Order quest and loot The Kingslayer from a downed guard, or buy it from the Silver Trader in southwestern Svartrau City when it appears in stock. Get The Kingslayer from the Forge it Anew outpost fight

The main route ties into the Forge it Anew questline, which sends you hunting three sword shards to reforge the Sword of St. Mihai. The Kingslayer drops during the final shard leg, Forge it Anew: Executive Order, in the ridges near Tantari south of Svartrau City. Each shard attempt costs 3x Time Segments, so plan your timeline before diving in.

Travel to the kobold cave southeast of Svartrau, near the ridges by Tantari. You’ll find it ransacked instead of holding a shard. Read the Soldier’s Letter on the ground to learn that soldiers hauled the shard back to their outpost.

Head to the outpost marked on your map, which sits due southwest of Tantari. Before rushing in, use the branch draped with strips of fabric on the hillside above to scout the camp. Several guards patrol here, and a straight fight is punishing at lower levels.

Defeat the guards to trigger the drop. One tougher soldier hands over The Kingslayer when you loot the body, and the final sword shard sits in the tent at the center of camp. Loot every body for the extra rewards scattered around the fight.

Note: If the head-on fight is too much, you can pull enemies out of the camp. Attack one soldier along the northern edge to lure the group up the sloping path, sometimes aggravating nearby wild boar that pile onto the guards. While everyone is occupied, sprint around the swamps to drop aggro, slip into the main tent, and grab the shard before anyone returns.

Buy The Kingslayer from the Silver Trader in Svartrau City

If you’d rather skip the outpost brawl, the greatsword occasionally appears in a vendor’s stock. Head to the Silver Trader in southwestern Svartrau City, near the path toward Neustadt. The Kingslayer shows up here intermittently, so you may need to check back across day cycles until it rotates into inventory.

The riverbank treasure map near Svartby City

A buried treasure route also leads to the greatsword. It starts at a bandit camp south of Svartby City, where you fight through a group of Brigand Bastards and loot a Treasure Map: Riverbank from a barrel in the camp.

Open your world map and locate the bandit camp south of Svartby City. Approach and clear out the Brigand Bastards defending it.

Travel to the highlighted riverbank and walk its length until you spot a pile of rocks beside a large boulder. That rubble marks the dig site.

Use a shovel to dig out the rock pile. This uncovers a chest holding the sword and additional loot.

The Kingslayer stats and how to confirm you have it

Once the sword is in your inventory, check your weapon menu for the Legendary rarity tag and level 21 requirement. The Kingslayer favors counter-focused fighters thanks to its extended perfect block window and reduced stamina drain.

If the outpost fight ends and no Legendary drops, you likely missed looting the tougher soldier’s body. Sweep every downed guard with Focus Mode before you leave the camp. At the vendor, the sword simply won’t be listed if it hasn’t rotated into stock yet, so return after a cycle rather than assuming it’s unavailable.

The Kingslayer holds up well through the rest of the Forge it Anew quest, right up to imbuing the Sword of St. Mihai, so there’s little reason to shelve it once you claim it.
