Where Loyalty Lies: How to Find Your Way Into the Warehouse (The Blood of Dawnwalker)

The warehouse door stays locked for good, so the only way in is a crate climb and a gap in the thatched roof.

The warehouse door stays locked for good, so the only way in is a crate climb and a gap in the thatched roof.

The blood trail in Where Loyalty Lies ends at a warehouse door that will not open. Coen has followed the missing scouts out of Svartrau City and into a small village, the objective updates to “Find your way inside the warehouse,” and the game then leaves you standing in front of a door marked “Locked” with no key anywhere nearby. The route in is on the outside of the building, not through it.

Quick answer: Walk around to the right side of the warehouse, climb the stack of wooden crates and baskets against the wall, follow the wooden scaffolding beams to the back of the building, and drop through the opening in the thatched roof.

How you reach the locked warehouse

The warehouse sits at the end of the blood trail that starts in the southeast part of Svartrau City, by the house with the pink facade. Focus Mode highlights the marks on the ground and makes the trail far easier to follow through the streets.

Head north along the trail, leave the city through the western pathway, and inspect the broken cart lying on the ground. From there the marks continue west into a neighbouring village and stop at the warehouse. That is where the objective changes and the door refuses to budge.

How to get inside the warehouse

Turn away from the locked door and run around the right-hand side of the building. Keep close to the wall until you reach a cart with a stack of wooden crates and baskets piled against it.
Climb the crates. They act as a staircase up to the wooden scaffolding that runs along the outside of the warehouse, and there is no other climbable point on this face of the building.

Walk along the narrow scaffolding beams towards the back of the roof. The ledge is thin, so move steadily rather than sprinting along it.

At the end of the beams, climb up onto the thatched roof and look for the gap in it. Crawl through the opening and drop down into the warehouse interior.

How to confirm the objective completed

The moment Coen lands inside, a “QUEST UPDATED” banner appears for Where Loyalty Lies and the tracked objective switches from “Find your way inside the warehouse” to “Check if anyone survived.” Coen also starts talking to himself about the state of the bodies, questioning whether a vrakhir was responsible. If the objective text has not changed, you have not dropped through the roof gap yet.

Note: the front door stays locked throughout. There is no key to find on the bodies outside and no lockpicking option, so any time spent circling the entrance is wasted.
