Ring of Quick Strikes Location in The Blood of Dawnwalker

The Ring of Quick Strikes is one of the legendary rings in The Blood of Dawnwalker, and it sits behind a locked door rather than a boss fight. You reach it during the side quest The Highland Grave, which begins in the snowy mountains near Rockfalls with a skeleton buried under a landslide.

Quick answer: Track The Highland Grave near Rockfalls, search the skeleton under the crushed cart to take the Scholar’s Map and Scholar’s Key, then travel to the ruin in the search area west of Rockfalls and use the key to open the locked room. The chest inside holds the Ring of Quick Strikes.

Note: if the ring’s level looks low by the time you find it, blacksmiths and armorers can upgrade legendary gear later, so there is no reason to skip it on an early run.

How to start The Highland Grave near Rockfalls

Open the world map and look for the side quest marker called The Highland Grave, which sits on the road running west of the mountain range at Rockfalls. Track it so the objective stays pinned on your compass. The starting point is a short distance from the destroyed shrine in that area.

Ride or sprint to the marker through the snowy, rocky stretch of the mountainside. There are no scripted enemies on the approach, so you can hold sprint the whole way.

At the marker you will find a cart crushed under a landslide with a skeleton pinned beneath it. Interact with the skeleton to trigger the investigation.

Take everything off the body. The scholar carries a Scholar’s Map, a Scholar’s Key, and a tattered journal. The key is the part that matters, since the tomb door later will not open without it.

Finding the ruin and unlocking the chest

Open the map again after taking the map item. A yellow search area now appears west of Rockfalls. Head straight into it on foot.

Look for a small stone ruin built into the mountainside and go inside. This abandoned tomb is only accessible while The Highland Grave is active, so do not abandon the quest before you loot it.

Inside you will run into Urash and a second uriashi. You do not have to fight them for the ring, and talking your way past keeps the encounter short if your build is not ready for two of them at once.

Use the Scholar’s Key on the locked door deeper in the ruin, then open the chest in that room. The Ring of Quick Strikes is inside, alongside the rest of the tomb’s loot.

The ring also turns up at an altar in Maragir Wealds, which is useful if you want a duplicate or you missed the tomb. Head to the south of Maragir Wealds and find the large blood-stained stone altar, with a point of interest facing it across the clearing.

Climb onto the stone platform and activate the Astral Communion prompt. A chest drops next to the altar and closes out the Ancient Circle: East of Maragir objective for XP and skill points. That chest can contain the Soul Reaping Manual, the Ring of Quick Strikes, Voidkin Attunement, and a Silver Bowl.

How to confirm you have the ring and what blocks it

You know the pickup worked when the legendary loot notification fires on the chest and the ring shows up under accessories in your inventory. Equipping it fills a ring slot, which also counts toward the Gear of the Gods trophy for having a legendary item in every equipment slot.

Two things stop this from working. Reaching the ruin without searching the skeleton first means you have no Scholar’s Key and the door stays shut, and the ruin itself is tied to The Highland Grave, so the interior is not open outside that quest. Going back to the landslide and looting the body fixes both.
