Blox Fruits: How to Complete the Prickly Harvest Cactus Secret on Desert Island

The Desert Merchant only hands out the cactus flower task when the blooms are ready, and you need 10 broken cacti to finish it.

The Desert Merchant only hands out the cactus flower task when the blooms are ready, and you need 10 broken cacti to finish it.

The third Desert Island secret in Blox Fruits Sea 1 is a short collection task handed out by the Desert Merchant. It is called Prickly Harvest, and it asks you to smash cacti scattered around the sandy island until you have gathered enough Cactus Flower Petals. The catch is that the option does not always appear in the merchant’s dialogue.

Quick answer: Talk to the Desert Merchant in the village and pick the Prickly Harvest dialogue option, then break 10 cacti around Desert Island and return to him. If he says the cactus flowers are not ready, the task is unavailable on that server — hop to a new one and check again.

Prickly Harvest requirements at a start

Everything about this secret happens on Desert Island in the First Sea. You do not need an item, a key, or a specific weapon type. A sword or basic M1 attacks are enough to break a cactus.

Note: some players see the option only after helping Hasan, the merchant’s missing friend inside the pyramid. If Prickly Harvest is not listed, clearing that rescue first is the reliable way to open it.

How to start the cactus collection quest

Sail to Desert Island and walk into the village area at the base of the pyramid. The Desert Merchant stands at his stall with a quest marker floating above him.

Interact with him and read his dialogue carefully. He mentions that his friend has not come back in days and was last seen heading to the pyramid, which points you toward the Hasan rescue if you have not done it.
Select the Prickly Harvest option from his dialogue list. If the option is missing or he replies that the cactus flowers are not ready yet, close the conversation — the harvest window is not open in that server instance.

The cactus flowers aren’t ready yet. Check back when they’re in bloom.

Leave and rejoin a different server, then talk to the merchant again. Repeat the hop until his dialogue changes and the harvest option becomes selectable.

Breaking 10 cacti around Desert Island

Once the harvest is active, the objective is simple. Each cactus you destroy drops one Cactus Flower Petal, and you need 10 of them. There is a time limit attached, so plan a loop instead of wandering.

Start with the cacti clustered near the village and the merchant’s stall. These are the closest cluster and let you bank a few petals immediately.
Sweep outward along the open sand between the village and the pyramid. Cacti are spread across the flats and along the fence lines, including the corner of the pyramid nearest the village.

Finish the loop around the far side of the pyramid and the island edges. Climbing the pyramid gives you a clear view of any cacti you missed on the ground below.

Return to the Desert Merchant with all 10 petals and speak to him to hand them in. He gives you the levels and a Lava Potion, and the secret is marked complete.

How to tell it worked

Completion is confirmed the moment the merchant accepts the petals. Your level jumps, the Lava Potion lands in your inventory, and the secret registers as one of the three on Desert Island. Every completed island secret adds a star toward the total, and collecting all of them unlocks the teleporter in Middle Town.

Why the harvest option does not show up

  • The cactus flowers are not in bloom on your current server, which is the most common reason.
  • You have not yet rescued Hasan inside the pyramid, which some players report as a prerequisite.
  • You have not spent enough time on the island in that session — waiting a short while can open the option.

If Hasan is still stuck, the way in is a small patch of darker, lower dirt between a cactus and a fence at the pyramid corner closest to the village, often with a treasure chest sitting on it. Jump onto it to fall through, follow the passage into the pyramid, and clear the enemies surrounding him. After that, head straight back to the merchant and check his dialogue again — the harvest is usually the next thing he asks for.
