Colosseum Island holds one of the more demanding Island Secrets added in Blox Fruits Update 30, and it is a straight fight rather than a puzzle. The Colosseum Emperor watches the arena from above and will throw three escalating waves of gladiators at you, with no checkpoints between them.
Quick answer: Speak to the Colosseum Emperor on the balcony above the arena, select Yes!, then defeat all three waves of gladiators without dying. When the completion message appears, return to the Emperor to collect your EXP and the island Star.
Where to find the Colosseum Emperor and start the fight
The Emperor is not on the arena floor. He sits on a raised throne balcony inside the Colosseum itself, overlooking the sand where the gladiators spawn.
Set your loadout before you talk to him. Swapping fruits or moves mid-fight means standing still while gladiators hit you, which is the fastest way to lose a run.

Add to Google Preferences →All three gladiator waves and enemy counts
Each wave doubles down on the last one, both in numbers and in enemy quality. The counter in the corner of the screen tracks how many you have left in the current wave.
| Wave | Enemies | What spawns |
|---|---|---|
| Wave 1/3 | 2 | Gladiators |
| Wave 2/3 | 4 | Gladiators and Upgraded Gladiators |
| Wave 3/3 | 6 | Gladiators, Upgraded Gladiators, and a Supreme Gladiator |
The exact mix in each wave can shift slightly, but the totals stay the same. The gladiators are no pushover either. In a run by a level 906 player, both the Gladiator and Upgraded Gladiator enemies were labelled Lv. 900.

Clearing the waves without wiping
There is one rule that governs the whole challenge. If you die at any point during the waves, all progress resets and you start again from Wave 1 after talking to the Emperor once more.

Enemies defeated: 3/4, so you know when a wave is nearly done and when one enemy is unaccounted for.
Note: Gladiators sometimes get stuck inside the arena walls or up on the surrounding balconies. The wave will not advance until they are dead, so fly up and hunt down anything the counter says is still alive.
Claim the reward and confirm the Star
Killing the last gladiator in Wave 3 ends the challenge immediately. A message appears reading Completed! Claim your reward from the King., which is your confirmation that all three waves registered.
Head back up to the balcony and speak to the Emperor again to collect the EXP payout and the Star for this secret. If you never see the completion message, the run did not finish, and one enemy is almost certainly still alive somewhere in the arena.

Why the challenge fails or resets
- You died during any wave. Progress wipes fully, and you must re-accept the challenge from the Emperor.
- An enemy is glitched into a wall or on an upper balcony, leaving the wave counter frozen.
- You selected Nevermind in the dialogue, so the waves never started.
The Emperor fight is one of three secrets on Colosseum Island, alongside the four fighting-style statues outside and the 1v1 crowd event. Every Island Secret you finish awards a Star, and collecting all 40 across the First Sea unlocks the Teleporter in Middletown.
