Murderthon is a 4v1 horror chase game on Roblox built by Chilly Creations, and it borrows its shape from Dead by Daylight and Flee the Facility. Four subjects of a Westcord Inc. trial repair generators and run for the exit while one player wears a M.A.S.K. and tries to end the trial early. It is still an alpha build, so expect rough edges, but the core loop is stable and easy to learn in a single match.

Quick answer: Queue for Classic from the lobby, pick an unclaimed survivor class on the preparation screen and hit CONFIRM, then power 5 of the 7 generators and leave through an exit gate before the M.A.S.K. puts you in an electric chair.

Win conditions for survivors and the M.A.S.K.

Seven generators are scattered across the map, but you only need 5 of them powered to open the exit gates. Repairing is the entire job as a survivor. Everything else you do — healing, stunning, hiding — exists to buy time for generator progress.

If you are the last survivor left alive, an escape hatch opens somewhere on the map. Leaving through the hatch counts as a win exactly like walking out of an exit gate. The killer wins by tracking survivors down and strapping every one of them into an electric chair before the gates open.

Murderthon controls on PC and controller

The control scheme is short enough to memorize before your first trial. Both roles use the same inputs, so the ability button is your gadget as a survivor and your killer power as the M.A.S.K.

How to queue for a Classic match

Launch the experience and wait in the lobby until the menu loads. The Classic gamemode panel describes the standard rules, where survivors repair generators and escape while a killer hunts them.
Press QUEUE. The button switches to an IN QUEUE timer that counts up while the game looks for a full lobby of five players.
Wait for the MATCH FOUND banner. The WESTCORD SUBJECTS party list appears with the usernames of everyone in your group and a PARTY counter that fills to 5/5 before the trial loads.

Queue times can stretch on quieter servers. If nothing is found after a long wait, cancel and rejoin the experience to land in a busier server — the game holds up to 32 players per server.

Survivor classes and their gadgets

After the loading screen, you get a preparation phase to choose one of six classes. Each class hands you a single gadget that shapes how you contribute to the trial. Four are open to everyone from the start, while two are locked behind quests.

ClassAvailability
HandymanAvailable to all players
SaboteurAvailable to all players
MedicAvailable to all players
ReconAvailable to all players
EnforcerUnlocked by completing quests
MechanicUnlocked by completing quests

Hovering a class on the selection screen opens its gadget tooltip, which lists charges and exact effects before you commit to anything. The Medic’s Core gadget is the Medkit.

GadgetWhat it does
Medkit (Medic)Unlocks the Self-Heal action and heals other survivors, with altruistic healing speed increased by 35%. Capacity of 24 charges.
Headbang (Enforcer)Flashes the M.A.S.K. to blind it and apply 50% hindered, and can rescue a survivor during a pickup. Capacity of 2 charges, starting the trial with 1, gaining charges every 30 seconds spent on a generator.

Healing is worth learning early because it is quiet. Healing another survivor, or being healed yourself, makes no noise the killer can follow — unlike bandaging, which is the fallback when nobody has a Medkit.

Only one player can take each class per trial

Classes are exclusive within a match. If a teammate confirmed Medic before you did, opening that card returns a THIS CLASS IS SELECTED ALREADY! message and the CONFIRM button will not take. There is no queue or contest for a taken slot, so pick your second choice and move on.

Select an unclaimed class card and read the gadget text so you know your charge count going in.
Press CONFIRM. Your choice locks in for the whole trial and cannot be swapped once the match starts.
Check the screen for WAITING FOR PARTICIPANTS with participant cards for the rest of the lobby. That is your confirmation that the selection registered and the trial is about to begin.

How to break a chase: pallets, vents, and lockers

The M.A.S.K. gives off a terror radius, an audio cue that grows louder the closer the killer gets. Treat it as your early warning to leave a generator before you are cornered rather than after.

Sprinting leaves scratchmarks on the ground that the killer can read to follow your exact path. That makes running everywhere a bad default. Once a chase starts, drop a pallet to stun the M.A.S.K. or clamber through a vent to open distance. Pallets are a limited resource across the map, so throwing them down early wastes the ones you will need later in the trial.

Lockers are the common trap for new players. Entering one makes noise, which means diving into a locker mid-chase tells the killer precisely where you went. Use them when you are unseen and the terror radius is fading, not as a panic button.

How to earn Shards

Shards are the main currency, and they pay for new killers and the items you bring into a trial. You earn them by playing rather than grinding a separate mode.

  • Completing generators during a trial
  • Opening chests on the map
  • Performing your chosen class activity, such as sabotage as the Saboteur
  • Finishing quests, which also unlock the Enforcer and Mechanic classes
  • Buying them with Robux from the in-game shop

How to redeem Murderthon codes

Codes are the fastest way to top up Shards before you start unlocking things. They are case sensitive, so type them exactly as written.

CodeReward
VestigeVestige Banner
200KVISITS1,000 Shards
FROST250 Shards
DIVIDE250 Shards
From the main lobby menu, click the three-dot button in the rectangle at the bottom-left of the screen to open the code panel.
Type or paste a single code into the ENTER CODE box. If you pasted it, delete any stray space before or after the text.
Press REDEEM. A successful code credits the reward immediately, so check your Shard counter to confirm it landed. If a valid code is rejected, rejoin the experience for a fresh server and try once more, since the game is still in alpha and updates can leave stale sessions behind.

Your first few trials will mostly teach you generator placement and where the pallets sit, and that map knowledge matters more than any gadget. Once you can hear the terror radius closing in and leave a generator a few seconds early, the rest of the loop — heal, reposition, finish the fifth generator, walk out — falls into place.
