All 26 Visions in Final Fantasy Resonance ranked S to C by role, kit and Mastery Rank bonuses, with when you can get each one.

Visions in Final Fantasy Resonance carry the skills, passives and Resonances your party fights with, and some pay off far earlier and for longer than others. This tier list ranks the Visions themselves, while the best Vision for each character guide matches them to specific party members.

Quick answer: The S tier is Leah, Tronn, Warrior of Light and Terra. All four are available early, and each kit keeps paying off as it ranks up.

How this tier list ranks Visions

Each Vision is assessed using three criteria: its role; its kit, including the skills and passives gained from Awakening Level 0 through 3 stars and its Resonance; and its displayed values, including Mastery Rank bonuses, ability effects, and the MP and AP prices of its skills. This ranking is based on the PC version released on 22 October 2026.

The list is weighted for playing through the story. A Vision you can get early sits above one with a similar kit that shows up late. It doesn’t claim any Vision wins every fight. Any character can equip any Vision, and the game’s own tutorial puts it plainly: “That said, there is nothing stopping you from mixing and matching various roles”. For what each role does, see roles explained.

The Vision Roles tutorial: any character can use any Vision.

Each entry below also says when you can get the Vision. All 26 Visions come from four places:

  • In Chapter 1, find the pair of Vision Crystals beneath Rain’s house in Mitra.
  • The 16 Sanctums of Light, one per series hero.
  • Seven side quests.
  • The Sephiroth fight at Whirlpool Hollow.

For a Sanctum of Light Vision, the chapter listed corresponds to the story’s first arrival in that region: Chapter 1 for Kingdom of Grandshelt, Chapter 2 for Dirnado, the Continent of Wind, Chapter 3 for Olderion Federation, Chapter 4 for Zoldaad Empire Territory, and Chapter 5 for Mysidia, the Uncharted Land. Depending on the sanctum’s location within its region, you may reach it later.

Of the Kingdom of Grandshelt sanctums, the Warrior of Light’s, at the foot of the cliff north-west of the Village of Kol, is open during Chapter 1.

Charlotte

Charlotte is a Sentinel from the side quest “The Shield of the Weak” in Chapter 7. Her Resonance, Resolute Bastion, reads “Restore HP and increase physical and magic defense for all allies.” and she gets Auto-Shell at 2 stars. Chapter 7 makes her the last Sentinel you can get.

Raising any Vision with Mastery Rank and Awakening

Every fight with a Vision equipped earns MRP toward its Vision Mastery Rank. At MR 9, every Vision adds a Spirit ability that “Activates all of” that Vision’s Mastery Rank abilities, at an AP cost that runs from 90 to 130 depending on the Vision.

The 1-, 2-, and 3-star skills listed above become available at higher Awakening stars, making it worthwhile to raise Awakening Level for the Visions you use. To assign them to your party, see how to equip Visions.
