The September 8 update adds craftable Valkyrie armor, a new server battle, Clan Skill level 15, and a fresh event lineup.

Legend of YMIR’s next patch lands on September 8, 2026, and it is a big one for gear chasers. Legendary Valkyrie armor becomes craftable, Nightmare difficulty starts paying out the materials you need to build it, and a new server-wide battle mode called Conqueror Showdown drops players into a 10-minute scramble for a crown. Clan progression gets a higher ceiling too.

Quick answer: After your region’s maintenance window ends, craft the legendary Valkyrie armor set using either gWEMIX Pieces or Azure Amber, and farm Nightmare Expedition and Raid runs for the legendary crafting materials.

Legend of YMIR update maintenance times by region

Servers go down on different clocks depending on where you play, so the calendar date is not the same everywhere. Players on EU, NA, and SA servers see the patch arrive on the evening of September 7 local time, while ASIA and Steam servers cross over into September 8.

Server groupMaintenance window
ASIA/STEAM (UTC+8)September 8, 2026, 7:00 am – 10:50 am
EU/NA/SA (UTC-4)September 7, 2026, 7:00 pm – 10:50 pm
STEAM (UTC+3)September 8, 2026, 2:00 am – 11:50 pm

You will know the patch has applied when the new event lineup shows up in the Event window and the Valkyrie entries appear in your crafting list. Until then, the old season content is still what you are logging into.

How to craft the Valkyrie legendary armor

Valkyrie is the headline addition, and it is the first legendary-grade armor you can build yourself rather than pull from a chest. Crafting accepts two different currencies, so there is a paid-friendly route and an in-game route to the same set.

Decide which currency you are spending. The Valkyrie recipe can be completed with gWEMIX Pieces or with Azure Amber, and both paths produce the same legendary armor.
Stock the supporting crafting materials. Anything you are short on can be bought from the Trade Station, which is usually faster than grinding the last few pieces by hand.
Open the Craft screen, select the entry you want, confirm the material list and quantity, and press Craft. The materials are consumed immediately, so check the quantity field before you commit.

Nightmare Expedition and Raid drops for legendary materials

Nightmare difficulty is where the new legendary crafting materials come from. Both Nightmare Expedition and Nightmare Raid have been added to the reward pool, which gives the hardest difficulty tier a reason to exist beyond bragging rights. Targets shown at that tier include Ruler of Utangard Hogni and Shadow Bandits Captain Jarnhamash.

Note: check your Nightmare Expedition and Raid difficulty settings before you queue. If you are still running a lower tier out of habit, the legendary materials will not appear in your rewards.

Conqueror Showdown server battle rules

Conqueror Showdown is the new server battle, and the format is deliberately short. Matches run for 10 minutes, and there is no life limit, so dying does not knock you out of contention. The goal is simply to be holding the crown when the clock stops.

Because respawns are unlimited, the mode rewards persistence more than survival. Getting killed once early does not end your run the way it would in a standard elimination bracket.

Clan Skill level 15 and Collection substitute items

Two quieter changes matter more than they look. Major Clan Skills can now be pushed to level 15, raising the cap for clans that had already maxed out their key buffs and had nowhere left to invest.

The Collection system also gets a substitute item mechanic. If a Collection is stalled because one entry refuses to drop, you can now finish it with an alternative item instead of waiting on that single piece. That removes the most common dead end in Collection progress.

Event lineup starting September 8

The patch brings a full slate of events, split between check-ins, mission tasks, draw-style rewards, and crafting. Here is what is running.

EventWhat it does
Skadi’s Hunting Support 14-Day Check-inDaily log-in rewards over 14 days, including 24-hour combat buffs
Daily Mission Reward Enhancement EventBoosted payouts on your regular daily missions
Sigrun’s Legendary Support Task IMission completion event with support rewards
Clan Support TaskClan-focused mission rewards
Fafnir’s Secret ReliquarySpecial draw event
Fafnir’s Hidden Treasure ChestChest event with items including an Epic Rune Chest (Bound)
Firmament of NottCrafting event tied to Collection stat bonuses

The check-in rewards are worth claiming daily rather than in a batch, since the combat buffs run on a 24-hour timer once collected.

Mission events live under the EVENT tab, where each task lists its requirements alongside the reward you get for finishing it. Sigrun’s Legendary Support Task I is the one to read first if you are hunting legendary progression.

Fafnir’s Hidden Treasure Chest is the draw-style event of the batch, and its item list is worth scanning before you spend anything.

Firmament of Nott crafting event and Pledge of Starlight rewards

Firmament of Nott is the crafting event that feeds directly into your stat sheet. You collect Nott’s Starlight Fragments, then spend them to craft Collection items that grant stat bonuses. Some of those bonuses are permanent and some are temporary, so it is worth checking which is which before you decide what to build first.

The craftable items run through five tiers, labelled Pledge of Starlight I through Pledge of Starlight V. Each entry lists the Collection stat bonus it contributes when registered.

What ends when the September 8 update goes live

Season 3: Season of Competition, which started with the July 14 patch, runs until just before this update. The Bootcamp servers close on the same boundary. Characters that reached Level 60 on Bootcamp can graduate and transfer to a server of their choice within the same region, with that transfer window ending September 7, 2026 at 23:59 (UTC+8). Anyone who does not complete a transfer in time is assigned to a random server when Bootcamp shuts down.

If you are sitting on a Bootcamp character, sorting the transfer is the one thing that cannot wait until after maintenance. Everything else in the patch, from Valkyrie crafting to the new events, will still be there when you log back in.
