The new Deadly Assault boss introduced in Zenless Zone Zero 3.2, the Infernal Revenant, drops you into a volcanic arena with a three-minute clock and a boss that can cut your damage in half mid-fight. The top result posted against it so far is a 65,000-point S-Rank clear built around a fully invested Claret Flint. Here is how that number is assembled and what the fight actually demands.
Quick answer: A 65,000 score is 60,000 damage score plus the 5,000 performance point maximum. To get there, kill the Infernal Revenant well inside the three-minute limit — the record run finished in 02:14 — while landing every counter the fight rewards.
How the 65,000 score is calculated
Deadly Assault scores are two numbers added together. Damage score comes from how much health you strip in the time allowed, and performance points come from the boss’s own condition list. Performance points are hard-capped at 5,000 per stage, so every point above that has to be earned with raw damage.
The enemies are level 70 versions of story bosses, and the mode does not scale down for weaker squads. Rank thresholds are fixed across the mode, which is why a 65,000 finish sits so far past what a passing grade requires.

| Result | Value |
|---|---|
| B-Rank threshold | 6,000 points |
| A-Rank threshold | 14,000 points |
| S-Rank threshold | 20,000 points |
| Performance point cap | 5,000 points |
| Showcase run damage score | 60,000 points |
| Showcase run total | 65,000 points, S-Rank, 00:02:14 |

Add to Google Preferences →Infernal Revenant’s Fire Rain state and the three flints
The one mechanic that decides whether a run reaches 65,000 is Fire Rain. Partway through the fight, the boss enters this state, gains 50 percent damage reduction, and starts chipping continuous damage off every agent on your team.
Flints spawn during the state. Shattering one grants a shield that absorbs the incoming damage, and shattering three ends Fire Rain entirely. The on-screen prompt spells out the condition directly:
The Boss enters the Fire Rain state, gaining 50% DMG reduction and dealing continuous DMG to all Agents. Shatter a flint to gain a shield to absorb DMG. Shatter three flints to end the Fire Rain state.
Because the damage reduction is halving your output for as long as the state lasts, every second spent inside Fire Rain is a second of wasted damage score. Break all three flints as fast as you can, then return to your normal rotation.

The Claret Flint squad used for the 65k kill
The 65,000 run uses Claret Flint as the sole damage dealer, with Norma Hollowell handling stun duty and Alexandrina Sebastiane supporting. All three are Level 60 with full Cinema 6 investment, which is the main reason the boss dies at 02:14 rather than surviving the timer.
| Agent | Drive Discs | W-Engine |
|---|---|---|
| Claret Flint | Thorned Rose, Puffer Electro | Crimson Thirst |
| Norma Hollowell | King of the Summit, Woodpecker Electro | — |
| Alexandrina Sebastiane | Moonlight Lullaby, Puffer Electro | Weeping Cradle |
Claret Flint’s stat line at Level 60
Claret’s sheet is built around critical damage and penetration rather than a huge attack number. The CRIT Rate figure sits above 100 percent because of in-combat buffs stacked on the base build.

| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Level | 60/60 MAX |
| HP | 7,963 |
| ATK | 1,000 |
| DEF | 2,540 |
| CRIT Rate | 126.2% |
| CRIT DMG | 174.8% |
| PEN Ratio | 32% |
| Anomaly Proficiency | 79 |
| Laceration DMG | 150% |
| Automatic Sharpness Accumulation | 41 |
A near-identical result is possible with a different second and third slot. Swapping Norma for Pryce alongside Alexandrina produced a 64,500 S-Rank finish, so the lineup is not locked to one exact trio as long as Claret is carrying the damage.
Filling the 5,000 performance points
Performance points in Deadly Assault are awarded for defensive play, not damage. Across the mode’s bosses, the triggers are things like Perfect Dodges, Perfect Assists, counters against telegraphed attacks, and shutting down the boss’s control skill. Each boss lists its own conditions on the stage screen before you deploy, and all of them stop paying out at 5,000.
Against the Infernal Revenant, that means answering its wind-up attacks with a Defensive Assist instead of dodging away from them. The counter prompt appears on screen when the window opens.

Once the counter lands, the follow-up window is where the damage score actually accumulates. Chain into assist attacks and switch through the team so the boss stays staggered while Claret’s combos run.

Note: performance points are capped, so once you have banked 5,000, additional counters add nothing to the score. Every remaining second should go into damage.
Confirming the run maxed out
You know the kill registered when the WIPEOUT graphic plays in slow motion, followed by the INVESTIGATION COMPLETE screen. The Challenge Results panel then breaks the score into its parts.
On a maxed run, that panel reads Rank S, Total Time 00:02:14, Damage Score 60,000 and Performance Points 5,000, for a Score of 65,000. If the Performance Points line shows anything under 5,000, you missed counter windows. If the damage line is low, the boss survived too long.
Why runs land below 65,000
The gap between a good score and a maxed one is almost entirely about kill speed. Runs with lower Cinema investment and weaker gear still clear the stage with an S-Rank, but they use the full clock and finish far lower — 42,093 in 03:01 and 36,209 in 03:02 are both S-Rank results against the same boss.
The three failure points are consistent. Sitting in Fire Rain instead of shattering the flints halves your damage for that entire window. Dodging away from the boss’s telegraphed swings instead of countering them leaves performance points on the table. And an underleveled or poorly geared damage dealer simply cannot remove 30 health bars’ worth of pressure before the timer expires.
Deadly Assault also locks agents to a stage once you deploy them, so a squad committed to another boss is unavailable here. Plan Claret and her supports into this fight before you touch the other stages, or you will be rebuilding a team from what is left over.
