Rebel Wolves shipped Hotfix 1.0.4 for The Blood of Dawnwalker on September 9, 2026, across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and it is the largest cleanup the game has had since launch. It patches quest blockers, save failures, and a handful of odd bugs, but it leaves the game’s most useful economy exploit intact. The Armourer in Svartrau City can still be looted forever, and each pull hands you another set of Darksteel Bracers worth 15 gold.
Quick answer: Visit the Armourer in Svartrau City during the day, close his workshop door, kill him and the guard inside, then press Loot on his body over and over. Darksteel Bracers never run out. Dump them at the shrine outside, sell them to city vendors at 15 gold each, and do not save or reload until you are finished.
What to do before you kill the Armourer
This is a one-way trade. The Armourer does not respawn, so anything still sitting in his stock is gone the moment you draw a weapon. Browse his wares first and buy the skill manuals or armour pieces you actually want, because you will have the gold to afford them in about ten minutes anyway.
Two other things make the run smoother. Go during daylight hours, since the shop and the surrounding market behave normally then. And if you have the Pack Mule perk from the Swordmastery tree, take it first, because the extra carry weight and the ability to run while encumbered turn the trip to the shrine from a crawl into a jog.
Note: Make a manual save before you start, not during. A save you can fall back on is useful. A save made mid-farm is what kills the loop.
Infinite money glitch: Full method in Svartrau City

Selling Darksteel Bracers for gold
Each pair goes for 15 gold, and that number does not change based on who buys it. What does change is how much coin the buyer has on hand. Every merchant carries a limited purse, so one vendor will tap out long before your stack does.
Work through the city instead of standing at one counter. Food sellers, the fishmonger, and the innkeeper across the street all buy bracers, and the tavern is a short walk from the workshop. Drain one vendor’s gold, move to the next, and keep the remaining bracers parked in shrine storage so you are not permanently overencumbered while you make the rounds.
Why the loot loop stops working
The exploit depends on the body staying loaded in the world. Once it despawns, there is no way to get it back, because the Armourer is dead for good.
- Saving and reloading. A reload clears the corpse. Farm in one continuous session and save only after you are done.
- Travelling too far. Wandering out of the district or fast travelling elsewhere unloads the body. Stay between the workshop and the shrine.
- Letting him run. If the Armourer escapes the room before he dies, the corpse ends up somewhere awkward or unreachable. Kill him first, guard second.
You will know the loop is live the moment the second loot press lands. The Darksteel Bracers entry stays on the body instead of clearing, and your inventory count climbs with every interaction. If the entry empties after one pull, the corpse has already reset and the run is over.
Hotfix 1.0.4 patch notes
Console players download this as update 1.005. Nothing in it touches vendor corpses or loot tables, which is why the farm survived. The headline fixes are stability work, a batch of quest progression blockers, and a bug that stopped some players from saving at all.

| Area | Changes |
|---|---|
| Stability | Multiple improvements to overall game stability. |
| Gameplay | Tutorial no longer blocks if Voracious Bite is used too quickly; Coen no longer gets stuck inside certain houses; Crake can talk to Coen during his training sequence; dead NPCs can no longer start dialogues; blocking no longer becomes disabled; saving is no longer blocked. |
| Quests | Ocha no longer attacks Coen when guards attack her; Coen no longer gets stuck in the cave during “Deep Down”; Murohn now spawns correctly; a “Hive and Seek” solution no longer ends early; “On the Run” no longer causes infinite loading; “A Lone Wolf’s Hunt” shows the correct difficulty; soft-lock after following Sara fixed; investigating the rag is optional in “Smoke and Ashes”; blocker in “The Heart Wants What It Wants” fixed. |
| Art | Coen and Iorgu drink from their cups on low graphical settings; a misused red pipe asset removed. |
| Audio | Music no longer stops playing during the prologue. |
| Miscellaneous | Steam only: connecting a controller with outdated GameInput software no longer causes FPS drops. Torches can no longer grow uncontrollably. Quality preset mods now apply properly. |
| Plugin | PC only: VSync issues fixed when using FSR Frame Generation. |
Rebel Wolves has been patching quickly since launch, and a duplication loop this visible is an obvious candidate for the next round of fixes. No date has been confirmed for another hotfix. If you want the gold, the safest assumption is that this window closes without warning, so run it on your current build and keep a pre-farm save on hand.
