The September 8, 2026 snapshot of leading Vanguards, Duelists, and Strategists across PC and console in both Competitive and Quickplay.

The Hood, Winter Soldier, and Cloak & Dagger sit at the top of their roles in the September 8, 2026 Marvel Rivals snapshot, taken just before Season 10. The Hood leads Vanguards, Winter Soldier leads Duelists, and Cloak & Dagger leads Strategists in PC Competitive. Below are the full pick-rate and win-rate figures for each role across PC and console, split by Competitive and Quickplay.

Quick answer: In PC Competitive, The Hood tops Vanguards at 19.55%, Winter Soldier tops Duelists at 10.61%, and Cloak & Dagger tops Strategists at 19.59%. For win rate, Peni Parker leads Vanguards, Magik leads Duelists, and Mantis leads Strategists.

Role leaders by pick rate

Pick rate measures how often a hero is selected inside a data set, not how strong the hero is. In Competitive, The Hood barely edges Magneto among Vanguards (19.55% versus 19.37% on PC), while Cloak & Dagger and Jubilee dominate the Strategist slot. In Quickplay the frontline order stays similar, but Spider-Man jumps to the top of Duelists because he is frequently banned in ranked play.

Highest win rates by role

Win rate tracks how often a hero’s team wins in the matches counted, so a low-pick specialist can post a strong number. Peni Parker leads Vanguard win rates in all four data sets, and Mantis leads Strategist win rates in all four. Magik holds the top Duelist win rate in both Competitive sets and Console Quickplay, while Storm edges ahead in PC Quickplay.

Mode and platformVanguardDuelistStrategist

PC QuickplayPeni Parker 55.77%Storm 56.42%Mantis 58.03%
Console QuickplayPeni Parker 55.65%Magik 55.83%Mantis 57.42%

Note: Peni is one of the most banned tanks, which is part of why her strong win rate sits next to a small pick rate. The Thing and Groot show the same pattern, posting high win rates but low pick rates because they are often removed by bans alongside Peni and Magneto.

PC Quickplay pick and win rates

Quickplay results should be read on their own, separate from ranked. The Hood’s Vanguard pick rate jumps to 25.82% here, Spider-Man leads Duelists at 9.42%, and Jubilee tops Strategists at 17.66%. Heroes that are frequently banned in Competitive, such as Spider-Man and Gambit, appear far more often in this mode.

How to read pick rate against win rate

A high pick rate usually means a hero fits the current meta, but it does not always mean the hero is the strongest choice. Popular picks can attract less experienced players, which drags their win rate down, while harder heroes with a steep learning curve stay low on pick rate even when skilled players win with them often. Read the two numbers together rather than trusting either one alone.

PC and console are tracked as separate data sets, so their charts can differ slightly even when they follow the same broad meta. The best hero for you also depends on the map, your team composition, and the enemy lineup, so a top-ranked pick that does not work in a given match is worth swapping off.

Why Deadpool appears in three roles

Deadpool can be played as a Vanguard, Duelist, or Strategist, so his stats are counted in whichever role a player selects him for. That is why he shows up on all three charts, with the Vanguard version, Duelist version, and Strategist version each tracked separately.

Missing heroes and snapshot limits

Brand-new heroes are left out until they gather enough matches to produce a reliable sample. Gorr the God Butcher, arriving with Season 10, will not appear in these tables until a couple of weeks into the season when his data settles.

These figures cover all ranks combined for the September 8, 2026 window and draw from the public PC and console feeds tied to the official Hero Hot List. The feeds do not publish sample sizes, exact collection times, or how mid-match hero swaps are counted, and any balance change after September 8 is not reflected here. When comparing these numbers to your own games, check the current balance posts for adjustments that may have shifted the meta.
