Liquid Frost is the fuel that keeps the Deep North’s endgame crafting going. You can’t pick it up anywhere in the world. Instead, you produce it by feeding Ice into a Frigid Kiln, which converts the shards into the frozen fuel the Frost Foundry burns while casting armor and Nord weapons.
Quick answer: Drop Ice into the loading port on the back of a Frigid Kiln. Every 5 Ice produces 1 Liquid Frost, which then powers the Frost Foundry.

What Liquid Frost is and the conversion rate
Liquid Frost is essentially cold coal. It exists only to be spent as fuel, and the Frost Foundry needs it to smelt materials and cast Deep North gear. Because nearly every new weapon and armor piece leans on it, you will burn through it fast.
The math is simple and fixed. Five Ice turns into one Liquid Frost, so a batch of 25 Ice yields 5 Liquid Frost. Plan your Ice runs around that ratio before you commit to a crafting session.

Ice is plentiful once you’re in the biome, and there are a few reliable sources. The safest options avoid open water entirely.
| Source | How to collect |
|---|---|
| Coastal ice sheets | Strike the frozen surfaces separating the ocean from the beaches with a pickaxe to break off Ice shards. |
| Frozen ponds | Mine the ice with a pickaxe on solid ground, with no water risk. |
| Enemy drops | Skeletons and Greydwarves on the surface drop Ice on death, and both are common up north. |
Breaking coastal ice is the trickiest method because you’re standing on the surface you’re smashing. Work from the beach side first, or park your boat right next to you before you start. Shards will float on the water, but you have to jump in to grab them, and you can’t climb from the water back up onto an ice sheet. If your stamina runs out while swimming, you drown.
Note: The cold here is punishing. Carry Frost Resistance Meads and wear a warm cape so freezing damage doesn’t cut your Ice runs short.

How to make Liquid Frost at the Frigid Kiln
The Frigid Kiln is the only station that produces Liquid Frost. Building one requires Frostcores, Ice, and Stone. Frostcores come from the Winding Tunnels, the dungeon hidden inside abandoned settlements, where they appear as glowing blue orbs on the walls.

Making Liquid Frost faster
A single kiln is slow when you’re outfitting a full Nord loadout. Running several Frigid Kilns at once is the practical way to keep pace with demand, so distribute your Ice across them and let them all process in parallel.
If you’re short on materials for extra kilns, dismantle a Frost Foundry you’ve already built and reuse the refunded resources to construct another Frigid Kiln. Once you’ve stockpiled enough Liquid Frost, rebuild the Frost Foundry and start casting gear.

Using Liquid Frost in the Frost Foundry
Liquid Frost’s only job is to run the Frost Foundry, the station behind almost every Deep North armor set and Nord weapon. To craft an item, place a Mould or Cast on top of the foundry from your active item slot, then add Liquid Frost as fuel to start the process. After roughly 50 seconds, the finished weapon or armor appears on top for you to grab.
Because each cast eats fuel and Moulds are consumed on use, keep a steady reserve of Liquid Frost, and by extension a steady supply of Ice, flowing at your base. Standing up two or three Frigid Kilns next to the foundry keeps the whole endgame crafting loop moving without stalls.
