Clear Comms is a DLC main mission set on Providence Island, and it splits neatly into two halves. The first half sends you hunting scalding geysers across the Pyroclast Field with FL4K’s Jabber pet, Mr. Chew, leading the way. The second half drops you inside a Tediore facility in the Vinechoked Canopy, where three signal scramblers need to go offline before a boss fight ends the whole thing.
Quick answer: Follow Mr. Chew to the Pyroclast Field, shoot the scalding geysers to spawn and kill the Volcanus beasts, then push into the Tediore facility and destroy the capacitors plus the core at each of the three scramblers. Kill Manager Warrant Baggett, take his Digi-Gauntlet, and place it on the control console to finish.
What you need before Clear Comms unlocks
Two things gate this mission. You need The Lost Resort DLC, and you need the FL4K character class, since Mr. Chew is tied directly to the objective chain. The mission becomes available on Providence Island once you wrap up The Chase at the FDB Staging Grounds.

After you accept the mission, Tediore forces attack almost immediately while Mr. Chew starts moving. He is the navigation system here, so the follow objective matters more than the fighting. Clear the ambush, then stay on him.

Note: Grab the hoverbike whenever the next marker is a long way off. The stretch between the field and the Tediore facility is mostly open jungle, and riding it saves several minutes.
Vinechoked Canopy: Reach the security center
The route into Tediore Supply Point Furor-Triangle turns vertical. Wooden platforms and cliffs line the approach, and the grapple hook handles all of it, so look for grapple points rather than a walkable path when you hit a wall.

How to disable all three signal scramblers
Every scrambler follows the same two-part pattern, and the order never changes. Destroy the glowing capacitors first, then the scrambler core that sits at the center. The core stays protected until all the capacitors around it are gone, so shooting the core early does nothing.
| Scrambler | Location | What to destroy |
|---|---|---|
| First | Ground level inside the facility | Three capacitors, then the core |
| Second | Top of the first silo, reached by pipes and ladders | Capacitor set, then the core |
| Third | Top of the second silo | Final capacitor set, then the core |
The first scrambler is the most dangerous because enemies keep pressuring you while the capacitors are exposed. Going down here is common. If you do get dropped, a nearby Tediore trooper is the cleanest Second Wind target, since the timer runs short and the drones are hard to finish off in time.

Scramblers two and three are climbs. Each sits on top of a silo structure, and you get up using the pipes and ladders bolted to the outside. The capacitor layout at the top is the same as the ground-level one, just in tighter space with a drop behind you.

Manager Warrant Baggett and the Digi-Gauntlet
Once the third core is down, the mission calls for a Tediore Junior Manager kill. That is Manager Warrant Baggett, and he is the last real fight in the chain.
Why the mission stalls, and how to tell it worked
If an objective refuses to advance, it is almost always one of a short list of causes.
- You outran Mr. Chew. The geyser objective only progresses at the spots he leads you to, so backtrack to him.
- A Volcanus is still alive. Each geyser you activate spawns one, and the count does not tick over until it is dead.
- A capacitor is still standing. The scrambler core stays sealed until every capacitor in that set is destroyed.
- A polycluster is intact. The blue glowing clusters block the path to the security center console and have to be shot out.
Confirmation is easy to read. The objective text changes at each stage, moving from Find Signal Scramblers through Destroy Capacitors and Destroy scrambler core, and finally to Kill Tediore Junior Manager. Placing the Digi-Gauntlet on the console triggers the outro, which is the point where the signal is established and the mission closes out.
The whole run takes roughly 20 minutes at a steady pace, and most of that is travel between geysers. If you want to move faster on a repeat run, keep a sniper rifle equipped for the geyser vents and use the hoverbike for every long stretch between waypoints.
