Grand Blue Flame Fruit: How to Get It and How Its Skills Work

Flame Fruit is the second-rarest Cursed Fruit in Grand Blue, sitting one band below Darkness and well above everything else on the table. It is a fire kit built around chip damage, so almost everything it throws leaves a burn ticking on whatever you hit. That matters more in practice than the raw numbers on any single move.

Quick answer: Flame Fruit is a Mythic Cursed Fruit with a 1.5% drop weight from Fruit Chests. Eating it immediately replaces the fruit you currently have, and the game shows a confirmation prompt naming the fruit that will be lost before the swap goes through.

Flame Fruit rarity and drop rate in Grand Blue

There are 10 Cursed Fruits in the game, and the pool is heavily weighted toward the cheap end. The two Uncommons alone account for half the table, which is why Flame feels like a wall even after a stack of chests.

FruitRarityDrop weight
DarknessCelestial0.5%
FlameMythic1.5%
WolfLegendary5%
Bomb / ChopEpic6% each
Drain / Spike / StrengthRare10% each
Cannon / SpinUncommon25% each

Note: the game is in early access, and the rarity label on Flame has shown up as both “Mythic” and “Mythical” while pointing at the same 1.5% weight. Check the rarity text in your own client before you commit to anything.

How to get the Flame Fruit

Fruit Chests are the main route, and they come in six bundle sizes. Bigger bundles give you more rolls against the same weights, not better odds per roll.

Fruit ChestCost
1x1,200 money
3x3,300 money
10x11,000 money
20x21,000 money
40x39,000 money
100x98,000 money

Chests are not the only lane. Cursed Fruits spawn on trees and plants every hour, a Fruit Trader NPC sells them outright, chests can be bought from the Shop with Robux or Celestial Coins earned from achievements and treasure quests, and other players will trade. Codes only hand out small boosts, not fruits. You can check the current build on the official Grand Blue Roblox page before spending anything.

Wizard’s Apprentice dig quest in Anchor Town

Head to Anchor Town and find Almighty Calvin on the raised stone platforms behind the houses. Accept the Wizard’s Apprentice quest from him. It is a one-time reward, so you only get one shot at it per character.
Grab the Rusty Shovel sitting below the platform. If it is gone or you missed it, Kim sells one for 250 Beli.
Dig up every marked object, then hand the quest back in for Calvin’s Treasure. It opens into a random Cursed Fruit, so Flame is possible but not guaranteed. If a dig spot refuses to register, hit it with a Strong Punch to reset it.

What happens when you eat the Flame Fruit

Eating a fruit while you already have one swaps your kit and consumes the old fruit. The prompt spells it out by name, along the lines of “Eating Flame will replace your Darkness fruit, and it will be lost.” Destroying a high-rarity fruit triggers a second, harder warning that the fruit will be permanently destroyed before it lets you through.

You lose the fruit item, not your progress. Skill levels save per fruit, so leveling Cannon and then eating Flame does not wipe Cannon’s mastery — re-eating Cannon later returns those levels. Holding an uneaten fruit in your inventory does nothing on its own.

You know it worked when your numbered hotbar swaps over to fire abilities and the fruit’s skill tree appears in the menu at the top of the screen, with the Logia Tree available alongside it.

Flame Fruit skills and skill tree unlocks

Every Cursed Fruit runs on the same unlock schedule. The first skill is available at fruit level 0, the second at level 3, the third at level 7, and the fourth at level 12. Fruit damage scales off the Energy stat, so a Flame build wants Energy investment alongside Strength for M1 damage and Health.

SkillWhat it does
Fire GunRapid burst of fire bullets from your fingers. Ranged poke that builds the target’s burn bar.
Flame FistLaunches a flaming fist. Hold to charge it larger and harder-hitting, with enough damage to delete weaker enemies outright.
FirefliesSummons explosive fireballs that track and circle. Also described as dealing damage while healing you on each hit, and as mines that detonate when enemies walk in.
Flame CommandmentErupts a pillar of fire around you and opens the fruit’s advanced move set.

Flame Commandment and the advanced fire moves

Flame Commandment is the piece that separates this fruit from the rest of the Mythic band. Activating it swaps your hotbar over to a second set of four abilities for the duration, which is why the kit covers so many ranges at once.

MoveEffect
Flame PillarVertical column of fire.
Cross FireLong-range aimed shot with a crosshair.
Flame EmperorDrops a large explosive fire bomb.
Divine FireFast, long-range fire arrow.

Availability of these four has been inconsistent across early access builds, and the ultimate’s damage stays modest until you put upgrades into it. Treat the in-game mastery tree as the reference for what is actually live on your account rather than assuming all four are ready to use.

Burn damage, Logia passives, and water

Flame attacks apply a passive burn that keeps ticking after the hit lands. Against a camp of enemies that stacks fast, which is why the fruit clears islands and quest camps so comfortably and holds up against boss doors.

The Logia Tree adds burn immunity and lets you choose between a larger resource bar or faster regeneration. Logia intangibility is not a free pass, though — some attacks still connect through it, so treat PvP as a normal fight.

Water is the hard counter. Any player carrying an active fruit power takes damage and drowns while submerged, which turns beach and dock fights into a positioning problem more than a damage race.

Flame Fruit vs Darkness Fruit

Darkness is the rarer fruit and the stronger control kit. Black Hole and Black Vortex drag enemies into position, Liberation pumps out area damage, and Dark Matter is a heavy burst finisher, which is what keeps it at the top for PvP.

Flame trades some of that control for sustained pressure and reach. It rates at the top for island camps and quest clearing, strong against bosses, and solid in 10-player PvP, largely because burn keeps working after you disengage. At a 1.5% weight against Darkness at 0.5%, it is also three times more likely to actually show up.

If your skill bar is empty, eat whatever drops and replace it later — mastery carries over. If Flame is the fruit you land on, build Energy, pick up Energy-restoring traits like Adrenaline for farming runs, and stay out of the water. Balance and skill availability are still moving between updates, so recheck the mastery tree after each fruit patch.
