Gunter’s Request is one of the shortest faction missions in Crimson Desert. It belongs to the Tales of the Pailunese Merchants chain under Pailune Commissions, and it asks for nothing more than a walk across town. Gunter, an arms dealer who works a forge in the City of Pailun, has finished a dagger commissioned for a family’s coming-of-age ceremony, and the buyer never came to collect it.

Quick answer: Talk to Gunter at his forge in the City of Pailun to take the dagger, then follow the quest marker southwest into the marketplace and hand it to the villager standing by the cooking stalls.

Gunter’s Request objectives and rewards

The mission has exactly two objectives, and both are dialogue prompts. Rewards are split across them, so the Pailunese Riteblade lands the moment Gunter hands over the weapon, while the bulk of the payout arrives on delivery.

Note: The Medium Bag is the reason this one is worth clearing early. Commission rewards across the game’s factions lean on that same bag to widen your carry capacity, and this delivery costs almost no time to finish.

How to complete the dagger delivery

Open your map and set Gunter’s forge in the City of Pailun as your destination. If you are unsure which entry to track, pull up the quest log and select Gunter’s Request under the Tales of the Pailunese category.
Walk up to Gunter at the forge and start the conversation. He is the large, beast-like smith working the anvil, and he explains that the blade was made for a child’s rite of passage before passing it to you.

Leave the forge and head southwest through the village streets, following the yellow marker on the mini-map and the main HUD. The route runs downhill into the open marketplace and takes well under a minute on foot.

Find the woman standing beside the cooking stalls in the marketplace. She appears as “Stranger” rather than a named vendor, so use the marker position rather than the nameplate to pick her out of the crowd.

Talk to her and hand over the dagger. She recognizes the commission immediately, and the quest closes out as soon as the exchange animation finishes.

How to confirm the quest completed

A “Quest Completed” banner appears on screen the moment the dialogue ends, and the completion text records that the dagger was delivered safely. Check your inventory for the Medium Bag and the Pailune Refinement Token if you want a second confirmation.

If the objective still reads “Hand over the dagger” after you speak to someone, you talked to the wrong villager. The recipient stands at the cooking stalls specifically, and the marker sits directly over her, so reposition until the prompt lines up before pressing interact.

Finishing the delivery advances the Tales of the Pailunese Merchants chain to Lola’s Request, so if you are working through Pailune Commissions for the contribution points, it makes sense to clear the next entry while you are already inside the city walls.
