Borderlands 4 Story Pack 2: All Legendary Class Mods and Boss Drops

Every Vault Hunter gets one new Legendary Class Mod in Providence, and all of them share the same farm.

Every Vault Hunter gets one new Legendary Class Mod in Providence, and all of them share the same farm.

Story Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort adds six new Legendary Class Mods to Borderlands 4, one for each Vault Hunter in the roster. Each mod reshapes a core part of its character’s kit, from Vex’s Soul Orbs to Amon’s Forgeskills, and all six come from the same loot pool on the new Providence zone.

Quick answer: All six Story Pack 2 Legendary Class Mods drop from every boss on Providence Island. There is no single dedicated source, so farm whichever of the 18 Providence bosses you clear fastest.

How to reach Providence and start farming

Providence is the Story Pack 2 zone, and you need the DLC to access it. Story Pack 2 is included with the Vault Hunter Pack and the Super Deluxe Edition, and it sells on its own for $19.99 through the official Borderlands 4 page and storefronts.

Complete the “A Lot to Process” mission in the Fadefields. This unlocks the path to the new content.
Interact with the distress beacon near The Bones of Sanctuary in the Terminus Range. The mission also appears as a new marker on your ECHO map.
Travel to Providence and clear its bosses. The content is tuned for level 13 and up, and you can roll a fresh Vault Hunter that begins directly at the Last Resort content at level 13 if you prefer.

Note: Shared character progression means you no longer have to finish the campaign before you start farming these mods.

All six Story Pack 2 Legendary Class Mods and their effects

Each Class Mod targets one Vault Hunter and rewrites how a signature mechanic behaves. Here is what every mod does and which character it belongs to.

Class ModVault HunterSpecial effect
GOATVexKilling an enemy has a 20% chance to spawn a Soul Orb, and Soul Orbs grant 30% bonus damage of their elemental type when detonated for 20 seconds. Killing an enemy with Ordnance damage spawns a Reaper on a 20-second cooldown.
MasochistRafaRafa stores damage he inflicts on himself. His gun shots and melee attacks convert to Incendiary damage and deal bonus indirect damage equal to +200% of the stored damage taken for 8 seconds. Guns only convert 10% of the stored damage.
ProgrammerLovelessUsing an Executable grants +25% Fire Rate for 15 seconds. Dealing damage with Loveless’ Empowered Melee attacks reduces her Executable cooldown by 25%.
Table HopperC4SHKill Skill. Each kill grants a random number of Hopper Stacks; going over 21 Stacks wipes them all and applies a random Bust Effect. Activating an Action Skill grants random Buffs based on current Hopper Stacks for 12 seconds, with bigger and more numerous bonuses the closer you are to 21.
UltracapacitorHarloweKill Skill. Each kill grants a stack of Ultracapacitor, up to 25, and every stack adds +10% Skill Damage Multiplier. When her Action Skill enters cooldown, she loses all Ultracapacitor stacks.
WastelanderAmonAmon’s Forgeskills, Action Skills, and Detonations gain 1% increased damage for every 1,000 Maximum Health and Maximum Shields. Dealing melee damage restores 1 second of Action Skill cooldown.

Which skills each Class Mod boosts

Alongside the special effect, each mod rolls bonuses to four specific skills. Use this to decide which mod fits your build before you commit to a farm.

Class ModBoosted skills
GOAT (Vex)Keen Mind, Ghasterbait, Shot to Go!, Sacrificial Essence
Masochist (Rafa)Juerga, CYA, Errant Spark, Hostile Acquisition
Programmer (Loveless)Turbo Button, Hard Reset, Finisher, Optimization
Table Hopper (C4SH)Can’t Stop Winning, Stack the Deck, Hot Streak, From Gloam To Glow
Ultracapacitor (Harlowe)Neutron Decay, Meltdown, Cyclotron, Rounding Up
Wastelander (Amon)Primal Surge, Brimming Vigor, Harbinger, Crackling Aegis

Where the Class Mods drop

There is no dedicated drop location for any of the six mods. All 18 bosses on Providence Island share the same chance to drop them, which means you can repeat whichever encounter is quickest or most comfortable for you.

Because the pool is shared, a single boss can drop a Class Mod for any Vault Hunter, not just the character you are playing. Expect to see mods for other characters mixed in with Legendary weapons during longer farming sessions.

Tip: Playing on Ultimate Vault Hunter difficulty raises the drop rate for Legendaries, so higher UVH tiers speed up the grind for a specific mod or a preferred stat roll.

How to confirm you pulled the right mod

A dropped Class Mod shows its name and assigned Vault Hunter in the item card, so you can quickly tell a GOAT from a Masochist and which character can equip it. On top of the fixed special effect, every mod rolls random secondary stats and can carry Firmware, which is why collecting an ideal version takes longer than simply seeing the mod drop once.

Keep farming until both the special effect and the random stat roll match your build goals, then equip the mod on the matching Vault Hunter to apply its effect and skill bonuses.
