The Version 7.1 Special Program, “A Rekviem for the Underworld,” aired on September 12, 2026 on Genshin Impact’s official Twitch and YouTube channels, and it dropped the usual three redemption codes alongside the update’s release date, banner order, and anniversary rewards. The codes are the time-sensitive part, so handle those first.

Quick answer: Redeem Rekviem, Vesna0923, and PrimaDonna for 300 Primogems total. The on-screen validity notice lists an expiry of September 15, 2026 at 12:00 AM (UTC-4), and each code works once per account.

Vesna and Vodyanitsa: elements, weapons, and roles

Two new 5-star characters headline the patch. Vesna is an on-field Anemo damage dealer built around Stellar-Swirl, the Anemo and Cryo variant of the Swirl reaction. Her Elemental Skill switches her into a mode that infuses her Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks with elemental damage and unlocks an alternate version of the Skill itself.

Vodyanitsa takes the support slot. Her Skill calls a summon and grants a healing effect on the active character, and she also applies Hydro and Cryo resistance shred while boosting Stellar Vortexes and Stellar-Swirl reactions. Vesna pairs naturally with Odette, the off-field Cryo unit already working with Stellar-Swirl.

Both debuts run side by side in Phase 1, and Phase 2 leans hard into the Cryo theme with a pair of reruns.

On the weapon side, the 5-star sword Beyond the Chrysalis is expected on rate-up alongside Vesna, and the 5-star catalyst Hymn of the Maelstrom runs in Epitome Invocation with Vodyanitsa.

Archon Quests and the Ronova boss fight

Two Archon Quest acts land in the same patch. Chapter 7 Act 3, White Night, Like a Dream Upon Waking, picks up directly from Act 2, and Chapter 7 Act 4 carries the version’s own title, A Rekviem for the Underworld. Completing both inside the version window grants extra rewards, as with previous patches.

The story threads run through the Tsaritsa’s return and her opposition to the Heavenly Principles, Vesna and Danica’s involvement, and the Gnosis being described as the remains of the Third Descender. Rhinedottir enters the picture, and Pierro and Dainsleif both appear in the version trailer’s combat sequences.

Ronova, the Arbiter of the Heavenly Principles, becomes a boss encounter in this patch, wielding the authority of death, with Dainsleif fighting alongside the Traveler. Chayka, the Tsaritsa’s confidential secretary, hands out special assignments during the quest line, and quest footage shown on stream included the usual branching dialogue prompts.

New Snezhnaya field content

A new field boss, the Guardian Blade of Drifting Snow, is placed somewhere in Snezhnaya. Overworld footage during the program also showed standard regional collection continuing across the new areas, so expect the usual exploration loop to expand alongside the quest content.
