Hunt water reptiles in the Veilwater Basin, then cure the hide at the Drying Rack to unlock Veilwater armor.

In Enshrouded, Water Reptile Hide and Water Reptile Leather are level 40 Common materials, and each stacks up to 250. Large water reptiles found around the waterways and lakes of the Veilwater Basin drop the hide; cure it on a Drying Rack to make leather. Several Veilwater armor pieces and the Fisher’s Swimfins require this leather.

Quick answer: Kill a water reptile by the water in the Veilwater Basin and take its Water Reptile Hide, then combine 1 Water Reptile Hide and 3 Salt at the Drying Rack to produce 3 Water Reptile Leather in 60 seconds.

Make Water Reptile Leather at the Drying Rack

Picking up a Water Reptile Hide for the first time makes the Water Reptile Leather recipe available at the Drying Rack. Salt is the other ingredient; gather some if you need more.

Return to your base carrying the hide and some Salt.
At the Drying Rack, choose Water Reptile Leather from the available recipes.

For each batch, use 1 Water Reptile Hide and 3 Salt to make 3 Water Reptile Leather. Allow 60 seconds per batch. Collecting the leather makes new armor recipes available from the Hunter.

The leather’s description reads: “A shiny material with an interesting texture. Any garment made with this will appear very fashionable.”
