The exact NPC, dialogue option, and Qinghe location that add the Bamboocut – Draught twinblades to your Martial Arts list.

The exact NPC, dialogue option, and Qinghe location that add the Bamboocut – Draught twinblades to your Martial Arts list.

Riven Twinblades is a free melee DPS martial art in Where Winds Meet, added on September 3 as part of the Bamboocut – Draught path in the Clouded Revelation 2.1.3 update. There is no gacha pull and no banner involved. The whole unlock comes down to finding one NPC in Qinghe and picking the right dialogue line.

Quick answer: Fast travel to the Northern Vow Ruins Boundary Stone in Verdant Wilds, Qinghe, walk a short distance north to Li Yangui, and choose the Revisit dialogue option.

What you need before Li Yangui will teach you

The conversation is the unlock, but Li Yangui only offers the Revisit line once you have cleared her business in the ruins.

  • Access to the Qinghe region, specifically Verdant Wilds in the southeast.
  • The Northern Vow Ruins Boundary Stone unlocked as a fast travel point.
  • The Echoes of Old Battles side quest at Northern Vow Ruins completed.
  • Version 2.1.3 or later installed, since the martial art shipped with that patch.

If Riven Twinblades is missing from your Martial Arts list entirely, you are on an older client version. Update the game before heading to Qinghe.

Unlock Riven Twinblades at Northern Vow Ruins

Open the main menu and go to the Develop tab, then select Martial Arts. This is the same list that holds Nameless Spear, Vernal Umbrella, Infernal Twinblades, and the rest of your weapon schools.

Highlight Riven Twinblades and press Obtain in the corner of the panel. The game drops you straight onto the world map with the acquisition point marked, so you never have to guess coordinates.
The marker sits in Verdant Wilds, Qinghe, on the Northern Vow Ruins landmark in the southeast of the region. Fast travel to the Boundary Stone there rather than running overland.

After you land, follow the path leading away from the spawn point, a few steps north of the Boundary Stone. The walk is short, and the waypoint distance on your HUD ticks down as you go.

Walk up to Li Yangui until the interaction prompt appears over her, then press the interact key to start talking.

Choose Revisit from the dialogue options, not Farewell. Read through the exchange to the end and the martial art is yours. There is no fight and no puzzle attached.

How to confirm the unlock worked

Head back into Develop and open Martial Arts again. Riven Twinblades no longer shows the Obtain prompt. Instead it sits alongside your other owned schools with a View Details option, its Melee DPS role listed, and its skills readable, including Reveldrift and Hero’s Blood. If the entry still says Obtain, the dialogue did not finish, so return to Li Yangui and run it again.

What Riven Twinblades does once unlocked

Riven Twinblades is a fast melee DPS school built around high attack speed. It belongs to the Bamboocut – Draught path and is designed to be run next to the Skystrike Gauntlets, which arrived in the same update. Both weapons feed one shared resource called Binge Points, which starts every fight at 60 and never falls below that.

Binge PointsStateEffect
60BaseStarting value, acts as a floor
100Inebriate: TipsyExtra Critical Rate, upgraded Q skill
200Inebriate: DeepdazeShort burst window, enhanced Heavy Attack and Special Skill

The Twinblades Special Skill adds Binge Points immediately and applies Carouse, which is why the pairing usually opens with this weapon before switching to the Gauntlets to push the gauge to 200. Once Deepdaze is running, the enhanced Twinblades Special Skill becomes the closer.

Grabbing the Skystrike Gauntlets as well is worth the detour, since the Draught Inner Ways and the Tiltrim and Brimflow gear sets are tuned around using both weapons together.

Because the whole thing is an open-world pickup rather than a banner reward, the only real gate is reaching Verdant Wilds and clearing the ruins quest that puts Li Yangui in a talking mood. After that, one dialogue line is all that stands between you and a new weapon school.
