Marvel’s Wolverine: How to Unlock Every Suit

Logan has a deep wardrobe in Marvel’s Wolverine, with looks pulled from decades of comics, the animated series, and his recent film appearances. Every outfit is purely cosmetic, so you can wear whichever one you like, but each has its own unlock condition tied to story progress, collectibles, or crafting.

Quick answer: There are 32 suits total (27 in the base game, plus five in the Digital Deluxe Edition). Most unlock automatically as you advance the campaign or by crafting them with materials from Material Crates; the rest come from whisky bottles, Nightmare Door challenges, and 100% completion.

How suit crafting works

You gain the ability to craft suits after finishing the Homecoming mission. During Homecoming, Logan speaks to Walter, who has a new suit ready but is missing the materials for it. One of two crates is behind him; the other was taken by Victor. Follow the blue trail to Victor’s room, sneak past him while he sleeps, unlock the second crate, and bring the material back to Walter to open up crafting.

From that point on, you collect crafting materials from Material Crates scattered through each chapter, with every crate giving 50 materials. Most suits cost roughly 150 to 250 materials. Equip the Crate Finder Adaptation once it unlocks to spot crates more easily; they pulse blue and trigger a sound through the DualSense controller when you are close.

Crafting each new suit grants a permanent health boost that applies no matter which outfit you wear, so it is worth crafting everything you can afford.

Every crafted suit also unlocks its matching claws, and claws can be mixed and matched with any outfit. Two suits are the exception: the Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls and Animated suits lock you into their own claws.

Story and craftable suits by chapter

These suits either unlock automatically as you reach a chapter or become available to craft once that chapter begins. The table lists the unlock condition and the claws each one adds.

Collectible and challenge suits

Four suits sit outside the crafting system and require specific side content instead.

Midnight (the secret suit)

The game’s secret final suit, Midnight, unlocks once you find all 20 Whisky Bottles across the campaign. It arrives automatically with its Scarlet Claws. Equip the Whisky Finder Adaptation to sense bottles at longer range and through walls.

If you miss a crate or bottle, replay any mission from the Nightmare Cabin. Interact with the bed and Logan pulls up a picture frame listing everything you still need on each level.

Future Fugitive and Hellverine

Both suits come from the Nightmare Door Gauntlets found in One Last Mission, Sinister Tidings, and This Was The Dream. Score Gold on all three Gauntlets to unlock Future Fugitive with its Techno-Organic Claws. Score the higher Adamantium tier on all three to unlock Hellverine with its Charred Bone Claws. Both unlock automatically once you clear the requirement.

Death

Death is the reward for reaching 100% completion. That means collecting everything in the game, including all Whisky Bottles and clearing every Nightmare Door, so it is effectively the last suit you will earn.

Five suits are exclusive to the Digital Deluxe Edition, each bundled with its own claws. These do not appear in the base game.

Confirming a suit is unlocked

Once a suit is crafted or unlocked, it appears in your suit menu, ready to equip along with its matching claws. Crafted suits also register a permanent health increase to your maximum health bar, so seeing that bar grow after a craft confirms it went through. Automatic unlocks simply appear in the menu the moment you reach the relevant chapter, with no crafting required.
