Twenty community mods have landed in the Baldur’s Gate 3 in-game mod manager for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, and this batch is unusually class-heavy. Two full custom classes, a warlock subclass, a superpowered half-elf subrace and a recruitable goblin companion all arrived alongside the usual wave of hairstyles, eye colors and quality-of-life tweaks. Several of the entries carry a September 14, 2026 publish date on mod.io.
Quick answer: Open the mod manager from the Baldur’s Gate 3 main menu on PS5 or Xbox Series X/S, sort by recently added, and subscribe to the mods you want. Two of them need extra dependency mods installed first.

All of them install through the console mod manager, which pulls from the Baldur’s Gate 3 page on mod.io. You know a subscription worked when the mod shows as installed in the manager and the game prompts you to reload your load order; class and race mods then appear as selectable options at character creation or on your next level-up, and cosmetics show up as extra swatches or presets in the character creator.

Add to Google Preferences →Dependencies and conflicts to check before installing
- The Pugilist needs the AnimationUnlocking mod to work properly.
- Angel Photoshoot requires two dependencies: Wings Character Customisation – WCC and Ardy’s Chest of Presents.
- Luxperviance – Shadowheart’s Selune Tattoos replaces her body texture, so it clashes with any other mod or outfit that changes the body model.
- Sazza Evolved only pays off on a save where you have consistently freed Sazza.
Install the Pugilist without AnimationUnlocking and the class will not behave as intended, so grab the dependency in the same session rather than after you have already rolled a character.
New classes and subclasses
The Conjurer
The deepest addition in the batch is a hybrid class built on Intelligence and Dexterity, with a long list of custom spells and summons behind it. You pick from five subclasses: Traveler, Possessed, Agent, Pathfinder and Spiritist. Each branch changes what you conjure and how you fight alongside it, so it plays very differently from a stock Wizard or Warlock summoner.
The Pugilist
A streetfighting class adapted from a 2014 homebrew, the Pugilist runs on a resource called Moxie and leans on features like Fisticuffs: Back Alley Brawler and Iron Chin. At level 3 you choose between seven subclasses: Bloodhound Bruiser, Dog & Hound, Hand of Dread, Mailed Fist, Piss & Vinegar, Street Saint and The Sweet Science.

The Frozen Shadow warlock subclass
An ice-themed Warlock pact that adds its own cold-damage spells, cantrips and Eldritch Invocations. The kit includes Umbral Smite, Glacial Rend, Rimebound Curse, Levistus’s Freeing Ray, Frostbite Blade, Flurry Spirit, Frostmaiden’s Kiss, Grasp of Stygia and Shattered Will.
Race changes and a new companion
The Astralborn Race is the outlier here, and not a subtle one. It adds a half-elf subrace with two options, Pure-Blooded and Half-Human, and a set of superhero-scale abilities: Forceful Strike, Crush Enemy, Ground Slam, Astralborn Flight and Brutality. Crush Enemy can land for as much as 600 damage, and the passives hand out immunity to poison, stun, fear, paralysis and domination. Custom Grand Overlord Uniforms come packed in a Uniform Crate.
DragonbornEnhancement is a far smaller adjustment to an existing race. It grants Dragonborn characters extra weapon and shield proficiencies, faster movement and Devil’s Sight, which mostly fixes the feeling that the race falls behind other options in combat.
Sazza Evolved turns the goblin you can repeatedly spare into an actual party member, along with her worg, Small Klaw. She levels up along Gloom Stalker Ranger lines. To recruit her you have to meet the conditions of the She Cannot Be Caged achievement, which means freeing her at the Grove, again with Minthara, and once more at Moonrise. In Act 3, she turns up at Popper’s shop.
Gear sets for poison and lightning builds
Poisoner_Expansion exists because poison builds fall off hard in the base game. It adds custom gear built around the damage type, including the Very Rare Earth Ring, Noxious Armor, and a spread of daggers, bows and crossbows, plus the Toxic Payload effect. The pieces are scattered as loot, so you collect them as you play rather than pulling them from a chest at camp.

Cl_Way of the Storm does the same job for lightning monks. The five-piece set includes Stormweave Vestments, Stormpiercer Rings, Hood of the Gathering Storm and Tempestwalker Boots, and it scales with your level while adding lightning damage to unarmed strikes.
Character creator and cosmetic additions
Crimson Hair Catalog – Additional drops a handful of new hairstyles straight into the Hair section of the character creator.

Electric Eyes adds 34 eye colors, all of them bright, which show up as extra swatches in the Eye Colour palette.

Sister Collection 2 – Elturel Nobles Heads contributes two head presets, Agnah and Honey, covering drow, elf, half-elf, human and tiefling on S1 body types. Luxperviance – Shadowheart’s Selune Tattoos swaps her body texture for hand-drawn tattoos based on official concept art, and Angel Photoshoot rounds out the cosmetic side with extra photo mode poses.
Chaos, power creep and quality-of-life fixes
Homebrew Wild Magic covers both Sorcerers and Barbarians with 30 effects, and it commits to the bit. Outcomes include summoning a Wild Magic Giant Space Hamster, Explosive Killing, and a Necrotic Time Bomb that has to be passed off to an enemy before it goes off.

Overpowered Feats V.2 sits firmly in the cheat category with 11 feats, among them Overachiever, Annihilation and Master of All. Permanent Loviatar’s Love keeps that passive active through death rather than stripping it on a revive.
The rest are smaller conveniences. Minthara Auto-KO knocks her unconscious instead of killing her, which removes the fiddliest part of recruiting her. No Temporary HP Effects Plus strips the glowing visual effects tied to temporary hit points and other buffs, so your character stops looking like a lamp mid-fight. Frog of War is pure novelty: a custom Wild Shape that lets Lae’zel turn into a frog.
How console mod drops work
Console mods have to be reviewed before they go live, which is why they arrive in curated waves rather than trickling in the way PC mods do on mod.io and Nexus Mods. Previous batches have ranged from roughly 15 to 26 mods each, and earlier drops brought in things like the Artificer class, new Paladin and Cleric subclasses, romance alternatives and player housing.
No date has been confirmed for the next batch. If you are building a new character around one of the two custom classes, install its dependencies first, verify the class shows up in the character creator, and only then start the run: swapping load orders mid-save is where most modded playthroughs go wrong.
