Ride A Pet: How to Earn Money Fast in Roblox (Best Income Pets)

Base income, not speed, decides your cash per second, and the pet ladder from Snail to Dragon multiplies it fast.

Base income, not speed, decides your cash per second, and the pet ladder from Snail to Dragon multiplies it fast.

Most players stall out in Ride A Pet for the same reason: they ride whatever pet moves fastest and wonder why their cash counter barely climbs. Speed and base income are separate stats, and only one of them prints money.

Quick answer: Always equip the pet with the highest base income percentage, not the highest speed. Climb from Snail (3%) toward Dragon (300,000,000%), then rebirth once you can rebuild your cash quickly.

Base income vs. speed: which stat generates cash

Every pet in the game carries two numbers that matter. Base income is a percentage multiplier applied to your earnings, and it is the only stat that directly increases the cash-per-second figure shown under your character. Base speed only changes how quickly you cross the map.

Rarity is not a reliable shortcut either. A rarer pet is usually worth more income, but not always, so check the Pet Index entry before you commit to riding something. The Index lists each pet’s rarity and its income percentage side by side, and the Place Best button exists for exactly this reason.

The bottom three are traps. Snail, Turtle and Sloth exist only to get you your first few eggs, and holding onto them costs you more than it saves. Anything at 150% or above is a real upgrade, and Shark at 400% closes out this stretch.

Kitsune1 in 1Qi90,000,000%
Dragon1 in 5Qi300,000,000%

Notice how uneven the curve is. Ostrich is rarer than Shark by a small margin but nearly doubles its income, and Cheetah is the last cheap-ish pet before the jump into trillion-rarity territory. The three quintillion-tier pets sit in a different league entirely.

The three endgame pets: Cerberus, Kitsune and Dragon

Cerberus

Cerberus is where earnings stop being incremental. Moving from Phoenix to Cerberus is roughly a 300x jump in base income, so a player sitting on hundreds of billions in cash usually got there the moment this pet hit their plot. It is also fast enough to handle egg routes on its own.

Kitsune

Kitsune triples Cerberus’s income and pairs it with a base speed of one billion, which makes it the most versatile pet in the game. If you are still chasing timed eggs across the map while trying to grow your balance, this is the one to ride rather than swapping pets back and forth.

Dragon

Dragon is the ceiling for cash generation, at more than three times Kitsune’s income with 300 million base speed to match. Nothing else comes close, and once it is placed, your only remaining lever for growth is the rebirth multiplier.

When to rebirth and what it resets

Rebirthing wipes your cash and your luck, then hands back a higher permanent cash multiplier plus a new base. In one example tier, the reward moved the multiplier from 4x to 5x and unlocked the Crystal Base, with requirements of a Phoenix and $125B in cash.

The timing rule is simple. Only rebirth when you can rebuild the cash you are about to lose in a short session. If recovering that balance would take you hours, push for one more income pet first, then reset.

Hatch Luck upgrades are bought with cash and are wiped by a rebirth along with your balance. Spending heavily on luck right before resetting throws that money away.

Why speed still matters: Galaxy and Blackhole eggs

Speed does not generate cash, but it decides which eggs you can reach. Rare eggs spawn on timers across the map and are labelled with a countdown and a price, such as the Galaxy Egg and the far more expensive Blackhole Egg. A slow pet means arriving after someone else has already taken the spawn.

That creates the loop the whole game runs on. A fast pet gets you more eggs, more eggs produce a better pet, a better pet raises income, and a higher income lets you rebirth for a bigger multiplier. Each turn of the cycle feeds the next one.

Progression order from a fresh account

Collect every free egg on the map before doing anything else. These cost nothing and are the only way to build a starting pet pool.
Equip any pet with a meaningful income upgrade the moment you hatch it. Do not keep riding something because it looks good or feels quick.
Get off Snail, Turtle and Sloth as fast as possible. At 3% to 7% income, they earn almost nothing.
Push for Horse, Wolf and Shark. These mid-game pets take you from double-digit percentages into the 350% to 400% range.
Target the high-jump group of Ostrich, Fox, Giraffe and Cheetah. Cheetah at 3,500% is the goal here before moving on.
Work toward the trillion-rarity pets: Unicorn, then TRex, then Phoenix. Phoenix at 100,000% also doubles as a rebirth requirement, so it is worth holding onto.
Chase Cerberus, then Kitsune, then Dragon in that order. Each one is a large multiple of the pet before it, and Dragon caps the ladder.
Rebirth once your recovery speed is fast enough that resetting costs you minutes rather than hours. Repeat the cycle to stack multipliers.

Robux shortcuts in the shop

The Shop’s Cash tab sells straight cash bundles at $100,000 for 49 Robux, $1 Million for 499, and $1 Billion for 999. Separately, the Dragon Egg [Instant Hatch] listing lets you buy a guaranteed pet outright rather than gambling on drops.

Fox30%249
TRex15%749
Phoenix4%1499
Dragon1%3499

There is also a Giant Egg that hatches a random huge pet at tiers of 49, 149, 399 and 1499 Robux. None of this is required to reach billions, since the free egg loop and rebirth multipliers get you there on their own.

How to confirm your income went up

The cash-per-second readout below your character is the only confirmation you need. Swap pets, watch that figure, and keep whichever one produces the larger number. A player riding Cerberus, for example, shows an income indicator in the range of $161.2M/s.

Cross-check it in the Pet Index, which marks locked and unlocked entries alongside their income percentages. Small extras stack on top of that base figure too, including the Friend Boost that adds a few percent while friends are in your server. If your per-second number is not moving after a hatch, the new pet is faster but not richer, and it does not belong on your plot.
