Knock Knock is Mission 9 in Marvel’s Wolverine and the first stop in Madripoor. It is a short chapter by the game’s standards, and it holds three pickups in total, which makes it one of the easier missions to clear fully on the first run.
Quick answer: Knock Knock contains 2 Material Crates and 1 Whisky Bottle, and no Nightmare Doors. The bottle, Trash Man, sits at the top of the signal relay tower after the sniper sequence.
What Knock Knock contains
| Collectible | Count here | What it gives you |
|---|---|---|
| Material Crates | 2 | Suit crafting materials, which raise max health |
| Whisky Bottles | 1 | Adaptation Levels for more passive skills |
| Nightmare Doors | 0 | None in this mission |
Across the whole game there are 102 collectibles, split into 68 Material Crates, 20 Whisky Bottles and 14 Nightmare Doors. None of them are missable, so a pickup skipped in Madripoor can be cleaned up later without starting over.

The mission’s only bottle is tied to the tower climb, so it is hard to walk past if you look around once you reach the summit. Whisky Bottles are marked by a blue scent line running along the ground, which is the cue to follow when you are not sure which way to turn.

A VTOL destroys the bridge shortly after you rejoin Sabretooth, dropping both of you into an underground area where Reavers deploy from the aircraft. That fall closes off the plaza, so anything left up top has to wait for a replay.

Material Crate locations: how to spot both crates
Both crates in Knock Knock are found the same way the rest of the game’s 68 crates are. Each one is wrapped in a large blue sphere that is visible from a long way off, so scanning rooftops, side alleys and dead ends as you pass through the plaza is usually enough.
Three settings and unlocks make the sweep faster, and they carry over to every later mission:
- Turn on the Collectibles and Interact Shader under Settings > Visuals to outline pickups in a colour you choose.
- Equip the Crate Finder adaptation to tag Material Crates at distance and through walls.
- Equip the Whisky Finder adaptation to do the same for bottles.
- Break any 100 XP Caches you pass; they can be farmed later, so there is no need to hunt them.
Collecting crates feeds directly into the Adamantium Armory trophy, since suits are story unlocks but need crate materials to actually craft, and each crafted suit pushes your health total higher.

Confirming Knock Knock is 100% cleared
Every chapter has its own collectible tracker. Open the pause menu during Knock Knock and the counter should read 2 of 2 Material Crates and 1 of 1 Whisky Bottle, with no Nightmare Door entry listed. The same per-chapter tracker appears in Chapter Select, and overall totals are visible through the trophy progress counters.
Picking up the bottle also bumps your Adaptation Level, which is the other confirmation that it registered. If the level does not move, the pickup did not land.
Replaying Knock Knock from Chapter Select
Chapter Select unlocks once you have found the second Nightmare Door, which happens back in the Canada chapter during The One That Got Away. From the title screen, choose Nightmare Cabin and interact with the bed to open the mission list.
Anything you pick up on a replay is saved permanently, so a return trip only needs to reach the tower top or the crate you missed before you quit out. That safety net is why a 100% run sits in the 15 to 20 hour range and does not require a specific difficulty setting.
Knock Knock feeds straight into Mutant Detected, which is a much denser chapter with a Nightmare Door, four Material Crates and another bottle. Clearing the three pickups here first keeps the Madripoor tally clean before the search area widens.
