League of Legends Patch 26.19 Preview: Full Buff and Nerf List

The first of two Worlds tuning patches lands September 23 with ten champion buffs, eight nerfs, and melee support help.

The first of two Worlds tuning patches lands September 23 with ten champion buffs, eight nerfs, and melee support help.

League of Legends patch 26.19 is the first of two balance passes built around Worlds 2026, which runs on the following patch, 26.20. The preview covers ten champion buffs, eight nerfs, and a pair of system changes aimed at melee supports and top-lane teleports. Expect targeted tuning rather than a full meta overhaul, since Riot is being deliberately cautious this close to the tournament.

Quick answer: Patch 26.19 goes live on September 23, 2026, buffing 10 champions, nerfing 8, and adding Support HP Regen and a Top Role Quest teleport adjustment.

When patch 26.19 goes live

The update reaches live servers on September 23, 2026. Patches deploy region by region starting in the morning Pacific time, so the exact moment you can log in varies by server. You will know the patch has arrived when the client shows version 26.19 in the launcher instead of 26.18.

Because Worlds is scheduled on patch 26.20, this cycle is the last full balance pass before the competitive meta gets one more update and then locks. That framing explains why the changes here are conservative.

Champion buffs in patch 26.19

Ten champions are set to gain power, with Lucian receiving his buff specifically in the mid lane. The full list of buffed champions:

  • Elise
  • Fiora
  • Volibear
  • Aatrox
  • Aphelios
  • Draven
  • Lucian (mid)
  • Kha’Zix
  • Lillia
  • Aurora

Exact values for most of these buffs have not been finalized, so treat any early numbers as subject to change before the patch ships.

Champion nerfs in patch 26.19

Eight champions are being toned down, and Lucian appears here too, this time for his bot-lane performance. The full list of nerfed champions:

  • Vi
  • Nocturne
  • Poppy
  • Orianna
  • Rumble
  • Nasus
  • Lucian (bot lane)
  • Ryze

Why Nasus is getting nerfed

Simple champions are allowed to be strong, but Riot draws the line when a straightforward kit becomes overpowered with little counterplay. Nasus fits that description right now. His current stacking pattern, driven by Q at four stacks, lets him snowball hard in favorable matchups while staying manageable when contested.

The concern is that when Nasus reaches a good matchup, he scales into a late-game threat that only his lane opponent can meaningfully answer, leaving the rest of the enemy team without much recourse. Riot considers the overall shape of the champion correct but wants his resting power level slightly lower.

Top lane and ranged top laners

Ranged champions in the top lane remain a sticking point, and Riot wants melee picks to feel more viable against them without removing ranged top as a valid option. The changes here are intentionally small.

We don’t feel comfortable taking a large swing here, especially before Worlds, but just wanted to let y’all know that we’re working on some small changes to make it a bit more tolerable for melee champions.

Riot also noted that this systems work is a prerequisite for later buffs to ranged champions who usually play bot but were nerfed because of their top-lane strength, with Vayne cited as an example. Those follow-up buffs cannot happen until this set of changes ships.

System changes: Support HP Regen and Top Role Quest

Two system buffs are on the way, one aimed at melee supports and one at top-lane teleports.

Support HP Regen

After support roaming was reduced in patch 26.16, pre-grub-spawn roaming is back down where Riot wanted it, especially in pro play. The side effect is that enchanters and ranged supports now dominate the meta again. The HP regen change is a targeted nudge so that melee supports can absorb some poke and still find engage opportunities, rather than getting whittled down and locked out of the fight. Riot describes this as a small adjustment rather than a major swing.

Top Role Quest TP Cooldown

In several regions and at higher skill levels, top lane has trailed bot lane in impact. Rather than reworking the lane broadly, Riot is adjusting the teleport and upgraded teleport tied to the Top Role Quest, tools that skilled players use most effectively. The goal is to let top laners pressure the map more reliably, particularly in split-push situations, without changing how top plays for the wider player base.

New skins in patch 26.19

The Coven skin line returns this cycle alongside two Old God cosmetics. Four skins are arriving:

SkinRarityPrice
Coven JannaLegendary1820 RP
Coven MelEpic1350 RP
Old God AniviaEpic1350 RP
Old God UrgotEpic1350 RP

All four are cosmetic only and do not change how any champion plays. With patch 26.20 set to serve as the Worlds patch, 26.19 is the last chance to test these balance changes in ranked before the competitive meta settles.
