Marvel’s Wolverine: Leech Room Password and All Four Drawing Locations

Where every drawing sits in the Essex Institute during Strays, and the exact answer that opens Leech's door.

Where every drawing sits in the Essex Institute during Strays, and the exact answer that opens Leech’s door.

Mission 7 of Marvel’s Wolverine, Strays, parks Logan and Jean Grey outside a locked bedroom door at the Essex Institute. Leech is on the other side doing a pirate voice, and he will not open up until someone guesses his password. The answer is hidden across four crayon drawings scattered around the building, and Logan has to sniff them out one by one.

Quick answer: The password is “A PURR-fect storm?”. Collect all four of Leech’s drawings by following his scent trail, then return to the door and speak to him.

How the drawing riddle works

When Jean asks for a hint, Leech tells you to look at his drawings, then clarifies there are exactly four of them and together they form a riddle. Guessing early does not work. Try “cat” after finding only the first sheet and Leech shuts it down with a flat “Avast! No!”

The theme is a cartoon Jean identifies as Bobcat Buccaneers, a show about pirate cats, which is why every drawing mixes felines with nautical nonsense. The objective marker reads “Follow Leech’s scent to find his drawings,” and the trail shows up as a glowing green-teal line on the floor once you use Logan’s senses.

All four drawing locations in Strays

DrawingWhere it isText on it
Pink catFloor right outside Leech’s doorNone
Wave and birdsDownstairs, by a bookshelf“nine lives for the seven seas”
Storm cloudLocker room, pinned to a metal cabinet“A+”
Pirate shipLibrary floor, near a statue“The Clawed Barnacle”

Each sheet sits under a blue triangle interaction prompt, and Logan reads the text out loud as he picks it up. The storm drawing is the one that actually carries the answer, with lightning, rain, trees and a proud “A+” scrawled on it.

Following Leech’s scent to every drawing

Grab the drawing of the pink cat lying on the floor directly in front of Leech’s door, the one marked “SH…”. This is the freebie that starts the riddle and prompts Leech to explain that four exist in total.

Trigger Logan’s senses to reveal the green scent trail and follow it down the stairs into the main lodge area. The line stays on the floor the whole way, so there is no guesswork between pickups.

At the bottom, look on the floor near a bookshelf for the second sheet, a wave with birds above it. The caption reads “nine lives for the seven seas”.
Pick the trail back up and run it through the hallway into the locker room. The third drawing is pinned to a metal cabinet, showing a storm cloud with lightning, rain and trees, graded “A+”.

Head back through the main area and into the large library with the fireplace. The final drawing is on the floor near a statue, a pirate ship labelled “The Clawed Barnacle”.

Giving Leech the password

With all four drawings in hand, run back upstairs to the door and interact with it. Sabretooth briefly steps out of his own room, the one with the “VICTOR” nameplate, for a short exchange while Jean and Logan talk about Essex, so let that play out.

Speak to Leech through the door and Logan offers the answer himself: “Is the password… A PURR-fect storm?” It ties the whole set together, the cat pun from the first sheet plus the top-marked storm cloud from the locker room.

You do not have to decode anything yourself. Once every drawing is collected, Logan supplies the guess during the conversation.

How to tell it worked

Leech replies “You guessed it,” says he will go find Mister Walter, and the orange locked icon on his keypad clears so the door can open. The objective then moves on to following Leech to Walter’s lab, which is your confirmation that the riddle is done and Strays is progressing.
