The Devil Capsule is the event currency item in Anime Squadron that can hand you a secret-rarity unit, and its headline prize is Asto (Devil). The capsule’s own info card lists the odds openly, so there is no guesswork involved in deciding whether to grind for it or spend on it.

Quick answer: Devil Capsules drop Asto (Devil) at 0.1%, Yomi at 0.5%, and Yano at 0.4%. Buy them in the Capsule Event Shop, then open them in bulk from the Items menu.

Devil Capsule drop rates

Tapping the info icon on the Devil Capsule pulls up its featured unit list. Three names are shown with percentages attached, and Asto (Devil) is the rarest of them by a wide margin.

UnitRarityDrop chance
Asto (Devil)Secret0.1%
YomiMythic0.5%
YanoMythic0.4%

Everything else in the capsule is progression material rather than a unit. Openings return Trait Shards, Gems, and Gold, which is worth noting if you are already saving shards for a trait reroll session.

These percentages belong to the capsule itself, not to the regular summon banner. The 50-summon Mythic guarantee and the 20,000-pull Secret pity are banner mechanics and do not carry over to capsule openings.

Where Devil Capsules come from

There are two supply lines, and stacking both is what makes a large opening session possible in one sitting.

  • Capsule Event Shop — Devil Capsule is listed alongside Perfect Prism and can be bought in batches.
  • Match and raid completion — finishing runs pays out capsules directly, and payouts can arrive in large stacks.

Capsules land in your inventory rather than being consumed on the spot, so a single clear that awards 89 of them can sit untouched until you are ready to open everything together.

How to open Devil Capsules in bulk

Open the Items menu and stay on the All tab. Your capsule stack appears here with its current count on the icon.

Select the Devil Capsule. A “Choose an amount!” dialog appears so you can set how many to consume in one go instead of tapping through them one at a time.

Push the amount to your full stack and confirm. Opening 43 or 89 at once runs the same rolls as opening them individually, it just collapses the reward popups into a single pass.
Watch for the summon screen. Materials are dumped into a “Rewards obtained” list, but a unit hit interrupts with its own reveal animation, which is how Yano, Yomi, or Asto (Devil) announces itself. After the animation, the unit is in your roster and can be slotted into a squad immediately.

What a 0.1% rate works out to

Each capsule is an independent roll, so hoarding a stack does not improve your odds per opening. A 0.1% chance means roughly 1,000 openings to hit once on average, and the distribution around that average is wide in both directions.

Capsules openedChance of at least one Asto (Devil)
50~4.9%
100~9.5%
250~22%
500~39%
1,000~63%

That is why a secret unit showing up inside a stack of a hundred-odd capsules registers as a genuine outlier rather than a normal result. The two Mythics on the list, at 0.4% and 0.5%, are the realistic return for a mid-sized session, and they are what most of those openings will actually produce.

What to do after pulling Asto (Devil)

Asto (Devil) is not a finished unit on arrival. The Awakening menu converts it into Asto (Black), which is the form worth investing gear and levels into, and its kit there covers Anti-Magic, Relentless, and the Demon-Slayer Sword passives.

Trait rerolls are the other lever. Superior is the strongest trait in the game at +200% damage, +300% HP, +30% range, -15% cooldown, and +1 spawn cap, and it rolls at 0.1% per reroll, so landing it takes roughly 1,000 rolls on average. Only commit a shard bank that large to a unit you intend to keep on the field.

Base Asto sits at the bottom of unit rankings, so treat the awakened form and a strong trait as the actual payoff rather than the pull itself.

Event capsule contents and percentages can shift between patches without an announcement, so check the capsule’s info card before committing a large purchase from the Capsule Event Shop. Redeeming active codes first is also worth the minute it takes, since the Gems and Trait Shards they hand out feed straight back into the same summon and reroll loops.
