Anime Vanguards: How to Get the Scrap Bluntsword Familiar

What the Vanguard-tier Familiar costs, where to buy it, and every buff it unlocks on NotGoodGuy (Free).

What the Vanguard-tier Familiar costs, where to buy it, and every buff it unlocks on NotGoodGuy (Free).

Scrap Bluntsword is a Vanguard-tier Familiar tied to the NotGoodGuy (Free) unit in Anime Vanguards. It arrived with the Wrath’s End update on September 12, 2026, and it is sold through the game’s event shop rather than dropped from a stage or dungeon, so getting it comes down to earning enough currency and making a purchase.

Quick answer: Talk to the History’s Strongest NPC in the center of the lobby, open the Wrath Shop, and spend 1,000 Wrath Coins to buy Scrap Bluntsword.

Scrap Bluntsword cost and requirements

Scrap Bluntsword is a limited Vanguard Familiar, which means it is locked to a single unit and cannot be corrupted or rerolled. It only works on NotGoodGuy (Free), so it has no value on any other unit in your roster.

In the shop, the item shows up as a broad, futuristic red cleaver blade with a black mechanical grip, zigzag accents, and a glowing red aura, which makes it easy to spot among the other listings.

How to buy Scrap Bluntsword from the Wrath Event Shop

Go to the center of the lobby and find the History’s Strongest NPC. This is the vendor that runs the Wrath event storefront.
Interact with the NPC to open the Wrath Shop. Scroll through the listings until you reach the Scrap Bluntsword entry.
Confirm the purchase by spending 1,000 Wrath Coins. Once the transaction goes through, the Familiar is added to your inventory.

Wrath Coins are the event currency, so build up your balance through Wrath’s End activities before the shop rotates out.

Every buff Scrap Bluntsword gives NotGoodGuy (Free)

Equipping the Familiar unlocks three passive sets on NotGoodGuy (Free). Together they stack a huge personal damage boost with Fire-element team support and heavy synergy for Guilty Cog and Video Games units.

Ready Or Not

  • Grants 1000% damage and 100% more meter.

Smell of the Game

  • Buffs the damage of all Fire Element allies by 80%.
  • Unlocks Dragon Install as both an active and passive ability when placed.
  • Hell consumes 30% meter so the next attack hits every enemy in range instead of detonating.
  • During Dragon Install, the unit stops gaining meter from attacks, while all Guilty Cog units gain 50% crit rate.
  • During Dragon Install, the unit bypasses its animation-cancel lockout and Follow Up has no cooldown, but Follow Up can only trigger after a base attack.
  • Burns inflicted by this unit last 10 seconds.
  • Follow Up attacks detonate all Burns on the enemy for 110% damage.

Find Your One Way

  • Buffs all Video Games units by 50% damage and 20% range.
  • Each Burn inflicted on an enemy gives this unit 1% meter.
  • The unit gains damage equal to its current meter percentage.
  • During Dragon Install, Burn also applies a 50% Slow for 10 seconds.
  • While another Guilty Cog unit is on the field, this unit gains 200% more meter and its attacks remove 20% of the enemy’s maximum meter.
  • Whenever another Guilty Cog unit spends meter, this unit gains 10% of the amount spent.

Confirm it worked and equip it

After the purchase, open the Units menu and select NotGoodGuy (Free), then go to the Familiar tab and equip Scrap Bluntsword. Because it is a Vanguard Familiar, it will only appear as an option on that specific unit. Once equipped, the three passive sets above take effect immediately, and the unit’s damage and meter behavior change on placement, which confirms the Familiar is active.
