Nimbus Fields is the low-level stretch of Breezy Plains where most Pathfinders learn the ropes, and it is deceptively full. Wild Aniimo sit at levels 5 to 15, the fields are wide and open, and a large share of the region’s collectibles are either buried, frozen, on fire, floating, or hidden behind an illusion. Clearing it properly means carrying the right elements, not just walking the map.
Quick answer: Nimbus Fields collectibles split into surface chests, surface Lumin Amber, and a second batch inside the Crystal Cave. Bring a Fire Aniimo, a digger, and something that flies.
Team requirements for Nimbus Fields collectibles
Almost every locked pickup in the region asks for one of five abilities. Catch these before you start sweeping the map, because backtracking across Nimbus Fields for a single Aniimo wastes more time than the chest is worth.
- Fire — melts ice blocks and burns brambles, vines, and root barricades. Emberpup, Flameruff, and Sparki all spawn locally.
- Water — puts out the flames that hold chests up in the air. Skippy and Pranky live in the western river.
- Digging — Budclaw unearths buried chests and dirt piles underground.
- Flight or gliding — reaches floating amber, high ledges, and vertical shafts in the cave.
- Raw break damage — smashes the boulders sealing two chests.
Giant dandelions work as free elevators. If you have not caught a flier yet, several floating pickups can still be reached by grabbing a dandelion and drifting across.

Add to Google Preferences →Nimbus Fields Lumin Amber locations and coordinates
Lumin Amber is the currency for growing the region’s Branch, so these matter more than the chests. On the surface, nine of them are pinned to fixed coordinates. Each one hands over Lumin Amber: Breezy Plains plus EXP when you finish it.
| Name | Type | Coordinates | How to claim |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lumin Amber 1 | -1501, 0789 | Capture a Blessed Budclaw | |
| Lumin Amber 2 | -1392, 0813 | Floats over water near Skippy | |
| Lumin Amber 3 | -1343, 0946 | Fly or ride a dandelion up | |
| Lumin Amber 4 | -1056, 0861 | Beat or catch three Nimbi | |
| Lumin Amber 5 | -1094, 0761 | Capture a Blessed Nimbi | |
| Run, Emberpup! | Lumin Collection | -1161, 0759 | Timed run across from the Bloom |
| Race Towards the Yellow | Lumin Collection | -0993, 0609 | Atop a small ruined structure |
| Core Descent | Lumin Collection | -1288, 0922 | Path at the base of the Branch hill |
| Gate of Ruins | Lumin Marking | -1342, 0821 | Line the pillar up with the archway |
Lumin Collections are timers. Stand on the start point, then sprint through every floating energy mote before the clock runs out — dashing between clusters is usually the difference between a clean run and a retry. Lumin Markings are perspective puzzles instead. Walk back from the stone formation, then shuffle sideways until the carved symbols overlap into a single shape.
Two more surface ambers sit outside that coordinate list. South of the Branch, a wall of vines guards a stone platform. Burn the vines away, step into the air current above the platform, and the amber is waiting at the top of the lift.

The other is the strangest pickup in the region. Near the southern portal, oversized plant leaves act as a bed for wild Nimbi. Transform into a Nimbi yourself, lie down alongside them, and the nap triggers the amber reward with no fight involved.
Nimbus Fields chest locations above ground
Surface chests cluster in three bands: the western river and ruins, the central fields around the Bloom, and the eastern dandelion trees near the Mistwoods border. Coordinates below, with the obstacle you will hit at each one.
| Chest | Coordinates | How to reach it |
|---|---|---|
| Chest 1 | -0978, 0800 | Ride dandelions to the treetop |
| Chest 2 | -0949, 0806 | Glide down from that tree peak |
| Chest 3 | -1187, 0934 | Cliff wall beside a large root |
| Chest 4 | -1348, 0910 | Hill over the water-Aniimo crevice |
| Chest 5 | -1325, 0949 | Melt the ice inside the cavern |
| Chest 6 | -1309, 0874 | Break the Nimbi illusion |
| Chest 7 | -1365, 0845 | Douse the flame below, or fly up |
| Chest 8 | -1392, 0787 | Dig it out with a Budclaw |
| Chest 9 | -1455, 0774 | Burn the brambles off |
| Chest 10 | -1469, 0794 | Dig inside the Budclaw group |
| Chest 11 | -1484, 0769 | Break the stones in the cavern |
| Chest 12 | -1095, 0767 | Open field, illusion cleared |
| Chest 13 | -1088, 0768 | Open field, illusion cleared |
| Chest 14 | -0998, 0850 | Field by the Mistwoods cliff |
| Chest 16 | -1107, 0776 | Sitting in the open on rock |
| Chest 17 | -1067, 0637 | Smash the boulders on top |
The unguarded ones are easy to walk straight past. Several sit in plain sight among flowers or on bare rock near the ruins, with no prompt until you are close enough to touch them.

Illusion chests behave differently from everything else. A cloud of Nimbi projects a false position, so the chest looks like it is floating near an overgrown flower or hovering over empty field. Break the illusion and it drops onto the pathway where you can actually open it.
Deeper in the ruins there is a corridor that pays out twice. Burn through the barricades, ride the air current up, and both a chest and a Lumin Amber are sitting on the high floating platforms at the top.

Crystal Cave route: underground chests and Lumin Amber
A large share of the region’s collectibles never appear on the surface at all. The Crystal Cave runs under Nimbus Fields and holds roughly ten more chests plus several Lumin Amber, including a Runaway Amber chase and a couple of timed collection challenges. Fire is mandatory down here — nearly every doorway is a root cluster.

The last surface amber is a Blessed Nimbi near the stone ruins. It sparkles, it runs, and it needs a Quick Catch. An Aniipod Mega makes that attempt far more reliable than a standard pod.
How to confirm Nimbus Fields is cleared
Collected markers stop appearing on the region map, and the exploration percentage for Nimbus Fields ticks up with each one. Every Lumin Amber you bank shows a Lumin Amber: Breezy Plains reward alongside an EXP payout, and those ambers are spent at the Branch to strengthen the buffs that apply across the whole region.
There is a practical reason to push completion past the finish line rather than stopping at “good enough.” Weather only begins cycling in regions you have completed past 70 percent, and Nimbus Fields has weather-locked spawns — the Rainstorm forms of Nimbi and Turbo only appear during Rainy or Thunderstorm conditions. Clearing the chests and amber is how you turn the rain on.
Work west to east across the surface first, since the river, ruins, and Budclaw groups on that side account for most of the ability-gated chests. Leave the Crystal Cave for one clean pass at the end, when you already have a flier, a digger, and a Fire Aniimo sitting in your active team.
