Aniimo: How to Get Cornet Highland Form

Cornet has four entries in the Aniilog, and the Highland Form is the one players struggle with, because it does not share a habitat with the standard Cornet you pull out of the shells on The Argent Strait. It lives in exactly one region, on one elevated patch of terrain, and everything else about catching it follows from getting to that spot.

Quick answer: Cornet – Highland Form spawns only in Zephyrus Landbridge, on the high sandy peak at the top edge of the region. You can also evolve a Lv. 18 Highland Chirpi while standing in Russet Highlands.

Cornet Highland Form spawn location in Zephyrus Landbridge

Zephyrus Landbridge is the only habitat that carries this form, and it holds five spawn points clustered around the same high ground. Wild encounters there sit at Lv 47–57, so bring a team that can survive a fight in that band rather than a low-level scout.

Open the world map and move to Zephyrus Landbridge in the northeastern corner. The region reads as a long stretch of breezy plains, and the relevant part is not the flat middle of it.

Zoom into the very top edge of the region and look for the raised, mountainous ground near coordinates 0085, 1870. That elevated block is the spawn area, not the plains below it.

Travel over and climb the sandy hill. The fastest approach is gliding in from higher ground or flying in on a mount, since the slope is steep on most sides.
Confirm your position using the giant white mushroom towers nearby, the ones with orange caps and cartoon faces. If those structures are in view, you are on the correct hill.

Sweep the top of the hill until a Cornet appears in the air or on the ground. If nothing is there, leave the area and return, or swap regions and come back to force a respawn cycle.

Catch rates and the best time to throw an Aniipod

A clean throw at an untouched Highland Cornet is not generous, so it is worth setting up the multipliers before you commit pods. The numbers that matter:

  • Base catch chance on a wild spawn: 19%
  • Throwing on a broken target: ×1.5
  • Throwing from behind (backstab): ×1.5
  • Sparkling variant odds: 1 in 20,000 at base
  • Sleep cycle: night

Because it sleeps at night, an evening visit gives you an easier approach from behind, and a Break-role partner turns the break multiplier into a reliable step rather than a lucky one. Natures roll at Cheerful 60 percent, Gentle 30 percent and Cautious 10 percent, so a specific nature will take several catches.

Evolve Highland Chirpi into Highland Cornet

If the hilltop is not cooperating, the evolution route produces the same Aniilog entry. It starts with the Lumin-stage form of the same line, which lives in a different region entirely.

Catch a Highland Chirpi in Russet Highlands. This is the highland variant of Chirpi, not the standard one you find near the coast.
Raise it to Lv. 18. Party experience works, and Chirpi is light enough to carry through mid-level fights without much support.
Return to Russet Highlands before you trigger the evolution. The region is a requirement, not a suggestion, and the option will not complete elsewhere.
Pay the evolution cost of Gust Stone x3 and confirm. Chirpi goes straight from Lumin to Nova stage as Highland Cornet.

Bank spare Gust Stones while you are farming the line, since the standard Cornet evolution charges the same three stones.

How to confirm you have the Highland Form

The catch or evolution is only registered once the creature fills the correct Aniilog slot. Open the Aniilog and check entry No. 9D, Highland Cornet, which sits between Prismana Cornet (No. 9C) and Tubster (No. 10A). The entry should read as Nova stage with both Wind and Grass elements attached and a DPS role tag.

If the entry that fills in is No. 9A, 9B or 9C, you caught a different form. The dual Wind/Grass typing is the quickest tell, since the standard Cornet is Wind only.

Its trait, Air Superiority, raises critical rate by 20 percent while flying, which pairs directly with the Take Off mobility skill. Take Off lifts it clear of ground attacks but increases damage taken while airborne, so the flying window is a damage trade rather than a free defensive option. On the overworld side it brings flight pathfinding plus Wind and Grass homeland abilities.

Scream Splitter is the skill that makes the flight loop work. It fires multiple Screech Rounds at nearby targets for 10 EP, and when several projectiles land on the same unit, Cornet’s damage rises by 30 percent for 15 seconds. Holding the skill button sends it into the Fly state automatically once the cast finishes.

Beyond that, it can learn Wind Bomb Rush, Tornado, Leaf Tornado, Lightning Splitter and Water Tornado, with Avian Harmony Ensemble as its ultimate. The ultimate widens its area of effect when all three Movements are equipped.

Why the standard Cornet method does not work here

Plenty of players go hunting for the Highland Form on a beach, because the base Cornet is tied to a shell puzzle. On the farthest island of The Argent Strait, opening all five clamshells triggers a prompt that a powerful Aniimo has been drawn in, and Cornet arrives shortly after.

Opening Clamshells00:08Opening Clamshells

That sequence only ever produces the Wind-type Cornet, and the same island is a reliable source of ordinary Chirpi. Beach Cornet appears around Echoback Landing and the Forest of Falling Stars, while Prismana Cornet requires the Prismana’s Flow weather condition. None of those routes touch the highland variant.

So the split is simple. Shells and coastal spawns give you the other three forms, and the Highland Form comes from the Zephyrus Landbridge peak or from a Highland Chirpi raised in Russet Highlands. Once No. 9D is logged, you have a Nova-stage Wind/Grass DPS that spends most of a fight in the air.
