Aniimo: How to Get Bolty (Mountain Woods Form)

The Mountain Woods variant sticks to one Blitzwood ridge, and it only appears while the sun is up.

Bolty (Mountain Woods Form) is the golden-brown regional variant of the Lightning-type Bolty, and it is easy to miss if you wander Blitzwood at the wrong hour. It lives in a single stretch of the Breezy Plains region, travels in groups, and disappears entirely once night falls.

Quick answer: Search the eastern Blitzwood ridge in Breezy Plains, between -0603, 0619 and -0638, 0629, during the day. Mountain Woods Bolty spawns there in groups at Lv. 40–45.

Blitzwood is the only habitat this form uses, so there is no second farming spot to fall back on. Open the world map, zoom into Breezy Plains, and look at the eastern edge of Blitzwood where it borders the Sea of Flowers. The spawn area sits on a raised grassy ridge above the treeline rather than down in the woods themselves.

Climb the ridge and run its length. Mountain Woods Bolty does not appear as a lone straggler here — a sizeable pack roams the grass near the trees, usually around Lv. 41, which gives you several attempts in a single pass without waiting for respawns.

Daytime requirement: why the ridge can look empty

This form sleeps at night and will not spawn while it is dark. If you reach the ridge and find nothing but empty grass, check the weather and time indicator on the map — you want the clear daytime state before you start sweeping the area. Advancing time or returning after a rest is the fix, not searching a wider radius.

Catch chance and how to raise it

A wild Mountain Woods Bolty has a base catch chance of 50%, so half your throws should land without any setup. Two multipliers stack on top of that:

  • Catching it while it is in the BREAK state: ×1.5
  • Catching it from behind with a backstab throw: ×1.5
  • Sparkling variant odds: 1 in 20,000 at base
  • Natures roll evenly between Cheerful and Sensitive, 50% each

Because the pack clusters together, breaking one target and then circling behind it is realistic here in a way it is not for scattered single spawns.

It is a Lumin stage Lightning Aniimo in the BREAK role, and the spread reflects that — Break is its highest number, while defenses sit at the bottom. It measures 0.6 m and weighs 6 kg, and males and females appear at equal rates.

Its trait, Power Sustain, triggers after skills land six critical hits: it becomes Overcharged for 6 seconds, immediately gains a shield equal to 5% of HP, and pays 12 less EP on every skill, though it cannot gain UP during that window.

High-Voltage Dash is its main attack, costing 20 EP for 48 power on a 1-second cooldown, and it doubles as the mobility option that charges you toward a target. Thunder Tail is the second combat skill, a tail swing that carries 50% additional critical rate — useful for feeding the six criticals Power Sustain needs.

Out in the field it brings High Jump for extra jump height and Climb Lv. 2 for pathfinding, which makes it a reasonable traversal partner for the same ridges you caught it on.

Evolving Mountain Woods Bolty into Blazen

The evolution is gated by a location and a boss fight as well as a level, so plan for it before you start grinding experience. All of the following must be true:

Blazen
Blazen. Image: Pawprint Studio
  • Your Bolty is at Aniimo level 33
  • You have defeated the Alpha Blazen to unlock the evolution
  • In the Blitzwood, stand beneath the Blitz Tree.
  • You hold Roar Stone x1

The in-game hint for this — “Seek the wood that calls lightning to experience the power of thunder” — points at the Blitz Tree, which sits in the same Blitzwood area you caught the Bolty in. Both the Basic Form and the Mountain Woods Form use identical requirements, so nothing changes if you happen to have the other variant on hand.

Confirming you caught the right variant

Check the creature’s detail panel after the catch. The form line should read Mountain Woods Form, and the Aniilog entry describes a woodland dweller whose lighter coloring keeps it from absorbing heat and whose golden-brown fur blends into its surroundings — the Basic Form entry instead talks about golden sparks flashing from its tail. Registering the form in the Aniilog pays out 100 Credits the first time.

Once it is logged, the ridge stays a reliable farm for spares, and every extra you release returns three Growth Buds. That makes a daytime lap of eastern Blitzwood worth repeating if you are stockpiling material for the evolution rather than hunting a single catch.
