The Wild Hunt is an unmarked secondary quest in Fellhollow that rewards you with a rideable mount. You start it by speaking to a man named Vannaka, hunting three Nature Spirits in the region’s willow groves, and returning their Primordial Hearts to him.
Quick answer: Defeat three Nature Spirits in western Fellhollow’s willow groves, then give all three Primordial Hearts to Vannaka to unlock the terrorbird mount.

Requirements and where to find Vannaka
Before you can pick up this hunt, you need access to Fellhollow, which comes from partially completing the Withering Heights quest. Neither Vannaka nor the Nature Spirits appear as icons on your map, so you will be navigating by landmarks.
Vannaka sits at a small camp beside a ruined wall near the forked road in southern Fellhollow, west of Cathan’s location in the Bleakfields Valley area. Talk to him and he will explain that the region’s Nature Spirits are dying out, then task you with collecting three Primordial Hearts.
Build a Lodestone next to Vannaka before you leave so you can teleport straight back once you have all three hearts.

Nature Spirits only appear in willow groves across western Fellhollow, and each grove sits around a pond. Look for willow tree symbols on your map to pin down each one. Three groves hold the spirits you need for the quest, with an extra grove available if you want a spare heart.
| Grove location | Region |
|---|---|
| West of Emberwood, near the druid’s circle | Emberwood |
| West of Dragon’s Run | Dragon’s Run |
| Southern section of Witchwillow Range | Witchwillow Range |
| East of Skekven Kara (extra grove) | Fellhollow |
The spirits look like white, glowing terrorbirds and give off a metallic wail when you get close. Any of the three groves can be tackled in any order.

How to beat the Nature Spirits
Nature Spirits are Power Level 5 undead enemies that share the same moveset as terrorbirds, attacking with their talons and using a few knockback moves. They are not aggressive, so you can approach on your own terms, but nearby undead can swarm you mid-fight, so clear or outrun them first.
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Power Level | 5 |
| Weakness | Slash, Stab |
| Resistance | Air |
| Guaranteed drops | Ectoplasm, Primordial Heart |
| Respawn | 3 days |
A slashing or stabbing weapon does the most damage, and bringing a shield helps against those talon swipes. You can clear these fights even at Power Level 4 if you play carefully. Each kill always drops one Primordial Heart, and you may occasionally get a second, so gather three total before heading back.
Do not bother speaking to other NPCs about a heart, even if a prompt suggests it. Only Vannaka advances the quest, and he needs all three hearts first.

Finish the quest and unlock the mount
With all three Primordial Hearts in your inventory, return to Vannaka and hand them over. He performs an old Garou ritual that imbues you with the spirits’ essence, and the quest is marked complete. You also receive 50 soul fragments for any extra hearts you carried in.
You know it worked when the actions list at the bottom-right of your screen shows a new Mount prompt. Hold the mount button for a moment to summon your terrorbird. The default is Alt on PC, Y on an Xbox controller, and X on a Switch controller.
Your mount despawns if it takes damage or picks up a status effect from any source. Just press the summon button again to call it back.
Mount types and what they do
The Wild Hunt gives you a terrorbird mount, and while you can pick from several breeds, they all look different and function identically. Every terrorbird provides a +200 bonus to your maximum Carry Weight, letting you haul more loot before getting weighed down.
After you arrive in the Umbral Sands region, completing the opening part of Icthlarin’s Little Helper unlocks a Magic Carpet mount. It offers no carry weight increase; instead, it crosses the desert more quickly, allows higher jumps, and lessens fall damage.
