Kowakujo holds the fifth of the six toys in the Black Ops 7 Zombies Super Easter Egg chain, and it is the least painful stop on the whole route. No boss, no long build. You open Pack-a-Punch, punch a cherry blossom tree until your screen glows, spin a tornado under a floating toy box, and then chase a bird around the castle grounds until it drops what you need.
Quick answer: Overcharge at a cherry blossom tree, tornado the floating toy box off the Tenshu Rooftops, melee the Kitchens, Staging Area and Training Area trees, tornado the Central Courtyard stump, then trade the origami and Exfil.

Kowakujo Super Easter Egg requirements
The toy box does not spawn for everyone. Your account needs the main Kowakujo quest already completed on Standard, Cursed, or Directed mode. Without that, you can stand on the Tenshu Rooftops all game and see nothing floating above you.

The other requirement is the map itself. Buy the doors that connect the Kitchens, Staging Area, Training Area, and Central Courtyard, because you will be sprinting between all four cherry blossom trees in a tight window. Locked doors are the single most common way this step falls apart.

Do this in one continuous match. Dying out or backing to the menu before you Exfil throws away the toy.
How the cherry blossom overcharge and tornado work
Two mechanics carry the entire step, and both come from the same trees. Hit a cherry blossom trunk with fast melee swings and it starts to glow. When a golden border washes over the edges of your screen, your health is overcharged and the effect is armed.
While overcharged, running in a tight circle on the right spot kicks up a leaf tornado. That tornado is what pulls the toy box down and, later, what shakes the origami loose. Meleeing a trunk without spinning up a tornado simply moves the bird instead.
Let the map progress normally until Pack-a-Punch becomes available. Reclaim the Kitchens and Training Area wards, erase the glyphs on the Central Courtyard gate, defeat the Oni in the War Room to obtain the Shogun’s Hanko, then use marked zombies to power the World Seed located in the Shogun’s Sanctum.

Walk through the blasted wall behind Pack-a-Punch that leads out onto the Tenshu Rooftops. Face east and you will spot the toy box hanging in the air above the castle roof, stuck there until you knock it loose.
Get straight back up to the rooftops and run tight circles directly under the floating box. The tornado yanks it out of the air, and it opens where it lands at the Tenshu Entrance.
Watch for the bird. Once the box pops open, it flies out and settles on a nearby roof ledge. That is your cue that the chase has started.
Move the bird through the Kitchens, Staging Area, and Training Area trees
The bird changes perches in a fixed sequence, moving only one spot at a time. Use the same melee method that charged the first trunk, then pause long enough for the bird to fly across and land before leaving.
At the Training Area, melee the tree beside the lava pool. This is the bird’s final perch before it goes to the courtyard.

If the bird circles a tree forever and refuses to settle, you almost certainly have a closed door somewhere on its flight path. Keep hitting the correct trunk and wait it out.
Carry the origami back to the open toy box at the Tenshu Entrance and take the “Place Origami Bird” prompt. The box trades it for the Z-Rex and sprays out some random loot alongside it, often something useful like a Self-Revive Kit.
Bring the toy to the Exfil booth and complete the match exit properly. The toy is saved only when the Exfil is completed, so avoid bleeding out before reaching it.
Verify the save. On Rex Infernus, return to Rex’s furnace room and inspect the toy shelf. If the Z-Rex figure appears there, the progress was saved; it also fills one of the six toys required to open the final boss rush.

Start to finish, the whole thing is a handful of melee swings and a couple of laps around a stump, which makes it a very different beast from the map steps before it. The only real risk is the map layout, so spend the points on doors early and the bird will behave.
