Transmogrification in World of Warcraft: Forever runs through a single NPC per faction, and Alliance players handle all of it in Stormwind. The vendor is easy to walk past, because he is not in the Trade District or anywhere near the auction house crowd.
Quick answer: Speak to Fyrenz Vishonar at coordinates 48.0, 84.5 in the Mage Quarter of Stormwind, tucked behind the mage tower.
Fyrenz Vishonar location in Stormwind
Head to the Mage Quarter in the south-west corner of Stormwind City and walk around the back of the mage tower. Fyrenz Vishonar stands there, and he is the only transmogrification NPC available to the Alliance. There is one equivalent NPC on the Horde side, and that is the complete list for the whole game.

| NPC | City | Coordinates | Where to look |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fyrenz Vishonar | Stormwind | 48.0, 84.5 | Mage Quarter, behind the mage tower |
| Mon’ye | Orgrimmar | 46.1, 53.9 | Cleft of Shadow, upper level by the barber shop |
Do not go looking for Warpweaver Hashom in the Three Winds shop. That ethereal transmogrifier belongs to modern retail Stormwind, not to Forever.

Add to Google Preferences →Turn transmog on before anything else
Transmog is opt-in here. Every character starts with the system switched off, and you flip it on by talking to Fyrenz Vishonar and choosing the opt-in dialogue. Until you do, you see the real gear appearances on yourself and on everyone around you, even players who have carefully built a full outfit.
Opting out does not lock you out of changing your own gear. You can still apply appearances with the system off, and anyone who has transmog enabled will see the look you picked. You just will not see it yourself.
How to change your gear appearance
That slot behaviour is the easiest way to confirm the transmog stuck. Swap in a different item of the same type and it should keep the appearance you chose. If your own character still shows the original gear, the system is switched off on that character.
Where appearances come from
You do not need collection currency, and cosmetic vendor stock is not something to grind. Every gear piece you loot unlocks its appearance. If an item binds to your character, its appearance is registered immediately.
Rare dungeon drops are the generous part. When one drops for your group, everyone in the party learns the appearance, including the players who lose the roll. Unlocks are also account-wide, so a mail chest that drops for your warlock becomes usable on your hunter later.
Press SHIFT + P to open the Appearance menu and check exactly what your character has collected so far.
Outfit slots and what they cost
Inside the transmog menu you can save full sets of appearances as Outfits and swap between them whenever you like. You get two slots for free, and you can buy your way up to 50 total. The price climbs steeply the further you go.
| Outfit slot | Cost |
|---|---|
| 1-2 | Free |
| 3-4 | 10 Silver each |
| 5 | 20 Silver |
| 6 | 35 Silver |
| 7 | 50 Silver |
| 8 | 1 Gold |
| 9 | 2 Gold |
| 10 | 3 Gold 50 Silver |
| 11 | 5 Gold |
| 12-16 | 10 Gold each |
| 17-21 | 20 Gold each |
| 22-31 | 35 Gold each |
| 32-41 | 50 Gold each |
| 42-51 | 100 Gold each |
Situations: Automatic outfit switching
The Situations tab of the transmogrification menu lets a saved outfit appear on its own under conditions you pick. You can assign multiple situations to the same outfit, so a raid set and a city set can live side by side without any manual swapping.
- Locations — all locations, rest area, character select, world, dungeons, raids, arenas, battlegrounds
- Movement — all movement, unmounted, swimming, ground mount, flying mount
- Specializations — all specializations, primary talent choice, secondary talent choice
- Weather — all weather, clear, rain, snow, sand
- Time of day — morning, midday, evening, night
Because everything routes through one NPC per faction, the Mage Quarter corner behind the mage tower ends up being a regular stop for Alliance characters. Set your opt-in and your first outfit on the first visit, and later trips are just quick appearance swaps between dungeon runs.
