In Chapter 1 of Phantom Blade Zero, the main quest HEARTLESS REMNANTS has you jump down the well in the Village of Lu. The bell waits at the bottom, in a red-lit chamber about 30 m from your landing spot. The bell cross stands on the right, in front of a small shrine lit by red candles. Above it is a tiled gateway with puppets dangling on red threads, which makes the spot hard to miss once you see the red glow.

You can confirm it worked on the Village of Lu map. It now carries the “Beneath the Well” label and reads “Map Completion : 43%”.
Interacting with the bell opens a menu headed “Beneath the Well” with these options:

- Train Abilities
- Save
- Leave
The bell now serves as your respawn point. If you fall during a battle deeper in these caves, the game returns you to this spot. Beyond the bell, the red-lantern caverns head toward the arena of YUZAN, NO. 3 MUSICIAN PUPPET, so rest here before continuing.
