The Shorefront Family Clinic sits northeast of the Town Square in St. Amelia, and it is the first building in Silent Hill: Townfall that will not open for you at all until you are carrying the right piece of plastic. Once you are inside, the investigation is a short loop through three rooms: an office with a patient note, Zoe Ellis’s own office, and a locked Reception desk that hides the lead pointing you at the Pharmacy.
Quick answer: Scan Zoe’s Lanyard at the clinic card reader, read the Post-it on the computer in the “Z Ellis” office, then enter 2896 on the Reception door keypad.
Requirement: Zoe’s Lanyard from the organ box
The clinic’s metal security shutter only lifts for a staff card, and that card is locked inside the organ transport cooler on the kitchen table in Zoe’s house, apartment 2A in Shorefront District North. Getting it open means working through the house first.
- Flashlight (No Batteries) from the kitchen drawer, combined with the AA Batteries from the upstairs bedroom nightstand.
- The £5 Prepaid Power Card from the cash register at Peters Newsagent, reached through the shop’s Fire Exit.
- Power restored at the meter in the closet under the stairs, so the living room PC and its emails can be read.
- The cooler’s two combination locks set to 956 on the left and 133 on the right.
At the meter, press A until Card Credit is highlighted, insert the Prepaid Power Card, press B, then flip the power switch. The lights coming back on is your confirmation that the card registered.

Opening the box triggers a cutscene and hands you Zoe’s Lanyard. The map updates with the Shorefront Family Clinic marker at the same time.

The route from Zoe’s house crosses the foggy square, which has enemies walking patrol routes between the market stalls. Crouch behind the stalls and move in gaps rather than cutting straight across, since a chase here only costs you health you will want later.
At the clinic’s exterior door, hold the lanyard up to the card reader beside it. The shutter rolls up and the front door unlocks permanently.
Searching the clinic offices for the note and the Scalpel

Clinic Reception code: 2896
The Reception door in the corridor uses a four-digit electronic lock, and the number is written down in Zoe’s office rather than hidden in a puzzle.

There is a phone inside Reception. It works as a manual save point, which is worth using before you head back out into the square.

How to confirm the clinic investigation is finished
Grab the Nurse’s Rounds Form from the Reception desk, then play the answering machine sitting next to it. The recorded message tells Nurse Ellis to go to the pharmacy on Main Street.
Listening to that message is the completion check. Your map updates with a new Pharmacy marker, and that marker is the only signal you need that the clinic has nothing else to give you. If the Pharmacy is missing from the map, you either skipped the answering machine or never got the Reception door open.
From there, the Main Street pharmacy is the next stop, and the Scalpel travels with you rather than staying behind in the clinic. Save at the Reception phone before you step back into the fog.
