How to Open the Lost and Found Locker in Silent Hill: Townfall

Part 4 of Silent Hill: Townfall drops you into Clara Woods with a lot of locked doors and one obvious first objective: the CEG Employee Lockers. The small cabinet marked Lost and Found sitting in the office is the thread that unravels the whole district, because the key inside it eventually leads to the Boltcutters and the Mechanical Parts you need for the Atlas Way gate.

Quick answer: Read the Lost and Found note on the CEG Employee Lockers computer, then open the locker in the office with the combination 772 to collect the South Brae House Key.

Route to the CEG Employee Lockers in Clara Woods

Clara Woods opens on a street littered with bodies, and some of them are still breathing. Watch each one before you walk past. A breathing corpse grabs you if you stroll by it, so either loop around behind it or kill it from behind first.

Follow the street until it splits. Take the left fork, then the next right, and you arrive at Clara Woods Estate, where a signpost gives you the area map. Keep going down the path to a phone that triggers a cutscene.

When the scene is over, follow the trail behind the phone booth. At the first junction, turn left, make a second left into Prosperity Way, and open the gate on your left. Just beyond it, turn right to reach the automatic doors; this is the CEG Employee Lockers building.

Opening the Lost and Found locker

Interact with the computer inside the building. It gives you two documents, the Lost and Found note and the CEG Employee Locker List. The list points you toward three separate lockers, which is your longer-term objective for this area.

Go into the office at the back and find the Lost and Found locker. Reading the note first is what lets you interact with it, so do not skip the computer.

Dial the three-digit combination 772 on the lock and open it. The locker holds the South Brae House Key, which lands in your inventory as a key item.

You know it worked when the locker door swings open and the South Brae House Key is added to your key items. If the lock does not respond at all, you have not read the Lost and Found note on the computer yet.

What the South Brae House Key opens

Take the key back to Atlas Square and climb the south stairs to reach 5 South Brae. The house is locked until you have this key, and it is where the rest of the Locker 17 puzzle plays out.

In the building, go upstairs to the bedroom and check the drawer beside the bed for the Disk Case Key. Next, visit Atlas Computers, located in the first building east of Atlas Square. In its back room, use the key on the disk case to take the Fix-A-Disk! Software floppy disk.

Head back upstairs at 5 South Brae. A second locked disk case sits next to the black box on the desk, and the same key opens it for the Grouped Floppy Disks.

Repairing the floppy disks and reaching Locker 17

At 5 South Brae, power up the computer and use the floppy slot positioned left of the keyboard. Load Fix-A-Disk! Software before Floppy Disk (2 of 3), then choose “Repair Volume” and “Confirm” to fix the corrupted disk.

Feed the disk reader all three disks in order: Floppy Disk (1 of 3), then (2 of 3), then (3 of 3). The order matters, so do not shuffle them.

Activate the printer left of the computer, return to the computer, and choose “Manual EML.” This produces the Reciprocating Compressor document. Its relevant detail is the Part ID, 956.

Key in 956 at the black box on the desk near the telephone and floppy disks; it contains Barcode (South Brae), which is linked to Locker 17.

Go back to the CEG Employee Lockers and place the barcode under the reader. The scan gives the 575 PIN for Locker 17, located along the back wall.

Locker 17 contains the first of the three Mechanical Parts for the Atlas Way gate, plus the Boltcutters. Those let you cut through any gate or door held shut by a chain, which opens up a good chunk of the district you could not touch before.

The Boltcutters are worth picking up early precisely because chained doors are everywhere in Clara Woods, and you will be backtracking through the area for the other two Mechanical Parts anyway.
