The Fortune Teller machine in Demonology has been reworked, and the headline change is what a single coin can now produce. Instead of a flat payout, the machine dispenses a Fortune Ticket that can trigger one of several distinct outcomes, and the developer’s announcement highlights three of them: Jackpot, a weather change, and a perk unlock. The interaction itself is unchanged — look at the machine, use the “Insert Coin” prompt, then pick up the ticket it spits out.

Jackpot: unlimited fortune tickets
Inserting a coin can return a ticket reading JACKPOT, with the line “You’ve Been Blessed With Unlimited Fortunes.” The machine then keeps dispensing Fortune Tickets, which pile up across the floor around it. One of the tickets scattered in the pile reads “They Come For You Now.”
In practice this turns one coin into a floor full of pickups, each with its own “E Fortune Ticket – Pick up” prompt. While the Jackpot ticket is held, the message “I’m unable to unequip this item…” appears.
Change Weather: The Tide Shifts
A second outcome hands over the The Tide Shifts ticket, confirmed on screen with “The Weather Has Changed.” The effect applies to the job site’s outdoor environment rather than the room the machine is in, so the change only becomes visible once you step outside. Snowfall is the demonstrated example.
Unlock Perk: Your Tarot Should Be Read
The third outcome gives the Your Tarot Should Be Read ticket, followed by “A Perk Has Been Unlocked.” A large tarot card then appears floating in front of the machine, naming the perk you received — the showcased example is THE HANGED MAN.
The giant card is how you confirm the perk landed. If you only see the ticket and no card, the roll was one of the other outcomes.
The rework builds on an earlier fix that stopped the Fortune Teller’s animation from freezing when two coins were fed into it in quick succession. Demonology is a co-op horror game for teams of up to six players, and the machine can be found on its Roblox page alongside the rest of the current build.
