Dreaple, a Dark-element Support Aniimo in the Nova stage, is among the few Idyll creatures that does not appear from simply entering its biome. Its appearance depends on first reducing the population of an entirely different Aniimo family. If you would rather avoid that hunt, a second, slower method is available.

Quick answer: Catch 30 Emberpup-family Aniimo in a row after clearing the Sleeping Flock event, then take the sleeping Dreaple at the Nimbus Fields ruins. Evolving a level 21 Nimbi also works.

Both ways to get Dreaple in Aniimo

The two routes do not overlap. One gives you a wild, guaranteed catch; the other converts an Aniimo you probably already own.

MethodMain requirementWhere
Wild spawnSleeping Flock event, then 30 Emberpup-family catches in a rowRuins in Nimbus Fields
EvolutionLevel 21 Nimbi, rest night to day, Dreamsong talentAnywhere, via the Aniimo menu

The wild spawn is repeatable. Every 30 Emberpup-family catches puts one Dreaple back in Nimbus Fields, though the counter does not stack, so you cannot bank 60 catches and expect two of them.

Route 1: Trigger the Nimbus Fields spawn

Clear the Sleeping Flock event first

Dreaple will not appear in Nimbus Fields at all until the Sleeping Flock Lumin Amber activity is done. It sits west of the First Spark Sanctum in Nimbus Fields. Make sure it is daytime, twine with a Nimbi, then walk up to the odd-looking leaf tree and interact with it to nap alongside the other Nimbis.

Farm Emberpups at the Beast Fang Ridge Bloom

Open the map and travel to the Bloom in Beast Fang Ridge, on the west side of Breezy Plains. The area is tuned for levels 46-47, so bring a team that can survive a long farming session.

Interact with the Bloom, choose Nurture, and place a Fire Shard in the nurture offering slot. The panel lists Emberpup under “Can Attract,” which is exactly what you want. Confirm the offering and wild Fire-type Aniimo will start gathering around the Bloom.

Catch 30 Emberpup-family Aniimo in a row. Evolved members of the line count, including Flameruff and Scorchhowl, so you do not have to hunt only the base form. Catching something outside the family breaks the streak, which is why the Bloom method works so well — it floods one small area with the right creatures.

When the 30th catch lands, a message confirms it: “With the decline of the Emberpup Family, Dreaple has spawned somewhere in Nimbus Fields.” That notification only fires the first time. Every repeat spawn after that is silent, so keep your own count.

Find Dreaple at the Nimbus Fields ruins

Open the map again and fast travel to the Bloom in Nimbus Fields, an area recommended for levels 41-43.

Head southwest from the Bloom toward the collapsed Idyllian ruins near the centre of the region. Mounting up makes the trip short. You are looking for a broken stone arch, not a full structure.
Dreaple floats in front of one of the caved-in entrances, and it is always asleep. Throw an Anipod at it. Because it never wakes up or fights back, the capture succeeds every time.

Since the catch is guaranteed, use a Sparkling Cube instead of a standard Anipod if you have one. That turns the single spawn into a Sparkling Dreaple with Perfect potential.

Route 2: Evolve a Nimbi into Dreaple

Nimbi is a Lumin-stage Wind Aniimo, and its line forks. Fed the right material under the right conditions, it becomes Dreaple instead of Turbo. You need three things lined up: the level, a rest cycle, and a character talent.

Put a Nimbi in your party and raise it to level 21. EXP items work fine here if you do not want to grind the levels out in the field.
With the Nimbi still deployed, open the system menu and use the Day and Night control. Set the clock to night, wait for the transition, then push it forward to noon. A prompt saying “a remarkable change is about to happen” confirms the rest condition registered.
Unlock the Dreamsong passive in the Character Talent menu. That requires reaching Student II and spending Report Cards, which come from story, game, and account progression.
Open Nimbi’s evolution page. With every condition ticked off, hit Evolve and pay the cost of Night Stone x3.

How to confirm Dreaple is registered

After the capture or the evolution animation, the stats card pops up on screen. Check that it reads Dreaple, No. 019, Basic Form, Nova Stage, with the Support role and the Dark element. The Anilog entry describes it as sleeping so soundly that its dream world must be wonderful.

If the card shows Turbo instead, the evolution branched the other way and one of the Dreaple conditions was not registered before you pressed Evolve. Dreaple has no alternate or regional forms, so there is nothing else to hunt down once the entry is filled in.

Dreaple’s skills and the Counting Sheep trait

Hypnotic Cloud ShotCombat4520
Nightmare DevourerCombat20
Dream BlastUltimate840

Everything in the kit feeds one loop. Counting Sheep makes the next skill apply a stack of Drowsiness every 10 seconds, and at three stacks the target enters Nightmare for 20 seconds. A creature in Nightmare takes reduced Dark resistance and cannot move or cast for three seconds, though any damage you deal cancels that lockout.

Hypnotic Cloud Shot is the hardest-hitting active, exploding on the target and applying a stack of Drowsiness to everything caught in the blast. Nimbi Attack sends a cloud on a path that damages and applies another stack, then charges back toward the target when it touches you. The basic attack is a ranged Dark hit, so you can stack from a distance.

Nightmare Devourer is the payoff. It heals Dreaple and nearby allies, then eats Nightmare off nearby targets, with the healing growing for each status absorbed up to three stacks. Dream Blast, the ultimate, applies two stacks of Drowsiness at once and raises the whole team’s Dark damage for 30 seconds on an eight-second cooldown.

At home, Dreaple works Leisure and Dark jobs at level 3, and it has Fly as a pathfinding ability, which makes it useful for traversal between farming runs. Since the Emberpup counter resets and refills, the Beast Fang Ridge Bloom stays the fastest way to line up another one whenever you want a better roll.
