The Victoria Ward Basement is the last stop in Part 3: The Patient, and it is the only place to pick up the Medical Intubation Kit that Zoe needs to finish the surgery. The elevator that leads down there is dead when you first walk past it, and the basement never appears on the St. Amelia Medical Centre floor plan, which is why so many players circle the ground floor looking for stairs that do not exist.
Quick answer: Finish the medication puzzle, then dial 5353 on the phone in the room off Reception. That call powers the elevator across from Reception. Enter it and press B.
What has to be done before the elevator turns on
The elevator is gated behind the drug administration step, not behind a key or a lockpick. Until the pumps are running correctly, Dr. Glenn has no reason to send you downstairs and the call button does nothing.
- All three vitals reported over the intercom: blood pressure 70/40, pulse 162, blood oxygen around 80% SpO2.
- Both X-rays taken in the room behind the patient using door code 7103, then placed on the display board.
- All three medications collected: Tensobromide from the Pharmacy Store, Dextracylate from Bay 6, Hydroxalene from the Records Room (code 2605).
- Rates set on the pumps for an 88kg patient: Hydroxalene 7, Tensobromide 8, Dextracylate 15.
When the pump station starts correctly, the game hands you a phone number and a new task. That is the cue to leave the Surgery room.

This phone doubles as a save point. Dialing 100 from any phone in St. Amelia writes a manual save, so it is worth banking one here before you go down.

Victoria Ward Basement layout and the Medical Intubation Kit
The doors open onto a dark, brick-lined level with no lighting to speak of, so keep the flashlight up and a weapon in hand. The route is a single dim corridor, and there is one monster prowling it.
| Location | What is there |
|---|---|
| Main corridor | Gurney stacked with boxes, plus a collectible Document |
| Kitchen | Radio that distracts the roaming monster |
| Storage | Medical Intubation Kit |
Switching on the radio in the Kitchen pulls the monster away from the corridor and gives you a clean run at Storage. The Document on the gurney is worth grabbing on the way past, since Townfall has no chapter select and no backtracking once the level ends.
Every Document and Clue you miss is gone for good in that playthrough, and the total you collect against the number of enemies you kill decides which ending you get.
Confirming it worked and getting back upstairs
You have done this correctly when the Medical Intubation Kit appears in your inventory after looting the Storage room. If the elevator panel still shows no B option, the call to 5353 did not connect, which means the medication puzzle has not registered as complete.
With the kit in hand, return to the elevator and press G for the ground floor, then walk back to the Surgery room. Interacting with the patient starts the intubation minigame. Move the stick until the circle shakes and turns red, hold the trigger until it goes white, and wait for Dr. Glenn’s next instruction. Three successful holds finish the procedure, a cutscene plays, and control passes back to Simon.
